David Maraga today honoured an invitation by Multimedia University to speak at its Youth Leadership Conference, where he engaged students on governance and youth participation in leadership.

He reaffirmed that restoring respect for the rule of law remains central to his vision for Kenya saying corruption, poor governance, and state capture thrive when leaders and institutions operate outside the law.

Meaningful national transformation can only be achieved when leaders are held accountable and public institutions serve the people.

He called on young people to take a more active role in shaping the country's future by registering as voters, participating in the democratic process, and seeking leadership opportunities. He encouraged those interested in public service to pursue leadership positions through the UUnited Green Movement Party which is committed to nurturing a new generation of principled leaders.

The future of Kenya will be determined by the choices young people make. Maraga urged them to exercise both their right to vote and their responsibility to lead.

Sometimes God allows us to walk through dry seasons so we can learn that He alone is our true source. There will be moments in life when everything feels impossible — when doors close, prayers seem unanswered, and strength begins to fade. But the same God who made water flow from the rock in the wilderness is still working miracles today.

What people call “impossible” is only an opportunity for God to reveal His power. He can provide peace in the middle of chaos, strength in weakness, healing in pain, and hope in hopeless situations. God does not always provide the way we expect, but He always provides at the right time.

Maybe today you are carrying burdens nobody sees. Maybe you are tired, discouraged, or waiting for breakthrough. Do not give up. The God who sustained His people in the desert has not forgotten you. Your situation may look dry right now, but God can still make rivers flow in the wilderness of your life.

Trust Him even when you cannot see the answer yet. Worship Him even while waiting. Pray

Never Stopping Advocacy for Workers.

Hon Maxwell Changilwa Amugune has always stood with the mjengo community — this is the family that made him. As MCA, he will use every available legal and civic channel to protect, represent, and uplift every construction worker in Kabiro Ward.

✅Fair Wage Advocacy: Push for county-level minimum wage enforcement for all construction workers in Nairobi including Kabiro
✅Contract Enforcement: Lobby for mandatory written contracts for all casual and permanent mjengo workers on every site
✅Safety Standards: Advocate for building inspection requirements that include full worker safety compliance as a condition of site approval
✅NHIF & NSSF Enrollment: Organize mass registration drives to enroll every Kabiro mjengo worker into social protection systems
✅Mjengo Workers SACCO: Facilitate a dedicated Kabiro Mjengo SACCO for savings, emergency loans, and collective bargaining power
✅Legal Clinics: Organize free legal aid sessions for workers to understand and confidently assert their rights against exploitative contractors
✅County Assembly Voice: Bring mjengo worker issues directly to the floor of the Nairobi County Assembly — their problems will no longer be invisible
