FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WAKILI KEMBOI FOUNDATION TEAM
PRESS STATEMENT: CALL FOR DE ESCALATION, DIPLOMACY AND RESPECT FOR SOVEREIGNTY
WAKILI KEMBOI FOUNDATION calls on the United States administration and all concerned parties to exercise immediate restraint, prioritize diplomacy, and respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Iran and all States in the region.
Recent developments risk scarcity of fuel, civilian harm, wider regional instability and disruption of critical trade and humanitarian routes. Escalatory actions or inflammatory rhetoric increase the chance of miscalculation and unintended consequences. For the safety of civilians and the preservation of international peace, we urge:
• Immediate de escalation and cessation of actions or statements likely to inflame tensions.
• Respect for the territorial sovereignty of States and full compliance with the United Nations Charter and applicable international law.
• Prompt, transparent communication among relevant authorities and establishment of direct channels (including military to military hotlines where appropriate) to prevent misunderstandings and high cost of fuel.
• Use of established diplomatic and multilateral fora — including the United Nations and regional organizations — to verify facts, pursue negotiations and coordinate responses.
• Full protection of civilians and unhindered access for humanitarian assistance; adherence to international humanitarian and human rights obligations.
• Independent and transparent investigations into incidents of concern, with timely sharing of findings to build confidence and accountability.
• Support for confidence building measures and neutral mediation to create space for sustained talks and a durable peaceful resolution.
WAKILI KEMBOI FOUNDATION stands ready to support and facilitate non partisan efforts that reduce tensions, protect civilians and restore constructive channels of dialogue and thwart scarcity of fuel and fertilizers to Kenya. We encourage leaders to choose diplomacy over confrontation and to pursue solutions through collective, law based mechanisms.
