Lari Municipality is sustaining routine maintenance of streetlighting infrastructure across its wards to improve night-time visibility and support safer movement within the community.

In Kinale Ward, streetlights at Gathwariga and Kirasha Junction were serviced, while in Kijabe Ward, maintenance was carried out at Gichiengo, Equity Kimende and Weru Muru floodlight.

Ongoing construction works at Kageche Bridge in Kinale Ward, Lari Municipality.
The bridge connects Itomboya and Kageche roads, improving connectivity and accessibility for residents, motorists and local communities. Once completed, it will support easier movement and strengthen access to homes, farms and local economic activities.

Governor Wamatangi's administration continues to invest in infrastructure that improves connectivity across Kiambu County.

El Niño Preparedness at Kiracha area, Kinale Ward

Lari Municipality continues to strengthen preparedness measures at Kiracha through drainage and environmental maintenance works aimed at improving water flow and reducing the risk of flooding during heavy rains.

The initiative supports safer and more resilient communities as the municipality prepares for the rainy season.

UTILITIES TEAM | NYANDUMA WARD

The Utilities Team has stepped up repair and maintenance works across Nyanduma Ward, restoring five floodmasts at Ha Gakuru, Gachoire Primary, Gachema Tea Buying Centre, Kaguongo and Nyanduma.

The team also repaired and automated Gachoire Girls streetlights, serviced the Kagwe Market floodmast, removed corrosion from five streetlights in Kagwe Town, and installed 200 metres of ABC cable along the Kagwe–Githunguri Road.

A continued focus on reliable public lighting and safer, better-served community spaces.
