I have learnt a very rude lesson. Kumbe you are not a teacher until you are employed by TSC. Some of us are class teachers, games masters, coaches, GnC, career masters/mistress, some of teach two subjects in candidate class, we have over 27 lessons per week, very active in staff plenary meeting, we are HODs, HOSs, those of us in small schools we double up lab technicians, we set practicals and set the apparatus in the lab, we are examiners, we consultants during academic clinics, we deliver lengthy speeches during parents meetings etc kumbe sisi sio walimu🤔. How can a teacher be classified as vulnerable in the socitety, be given rice and beans by well wishers?, how can a teacher go for six months as it's going to be without pay, how can a teacher be locked out of his/her rented house due rent arrears, how can a teacher survive on one main meal per day, breakfast being a luxury, how can a teacher fail to afford even the cheapest alcohol, chrome 200/??, how can a teacher stay for 2days without data bundle, how can a teacher sell his/her smart phone to buy kabambe?? How??. We are not teachers?? What we are is that we are qualified to be employed as teachers. A teacher is one who is on TSC payroll, period. That's my well researched definition of a teacher.
