On 23rd November 2022, The Lamu Governor HE Issa Timamy has assented to the Lamu County Climate Change Act, 2022 which was passed by the assembly on 15th November 2022.

The bill has put in place the framework and mechanisms for mobilization and facilitation of communities and other stakeholders in the County to respond effectively to Climate Change and for connected purposes.
