Lamu Water and Sewerage Company Ltd (LAWASCO) successfully conducted a public participation exercise on the proposed tariff, during which participants unanimously approved the proposal.

Challenges faced by the WSP, included insufficient water resources and low cost coverage.

The County Government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting LAWASCO through electricity cost subsidies and continued investment to enhance the affordability of the tariff.

Tunawaomba mutuelee radhi kwani shida hii iko nje ya uwezo wetu, kwa kuwa inasababishwa na kupotea kwa *umeme* mara kwa mara au kuwa na kiwango kidogo cha nguvu za umeme hali ambayo inapelekea mitambo yetu kushindwa kusumuka maji.

Hata hivyo tuko kwenye mazungumzo uongozi wa shirika la umeme tawi Lamu(KPLC) kutatua hali hii.
