Baba has left us physically, but his spirit remains alive in our hearts and in the soul of our nation. He departed a fulfilled man — at peace with himself and with his people. I truly believe Baba has gone straight to heaven, if ever there was one.

Kenya mourns a great son, a freedom fighter, and a selfless leader. Yet even in our pain, we find strength knowing that many Raila Odinga have been born among us. To us, the young politicians, Baba’s journey reminds us that leadership is about service, sacrifice, and unshakable courage.

May his beautiful soul rest in power — and may his legacy guide us as we carry forward the torch of justice, unity, and hope for our people.

Today, I stood with the families of Mzee Elijah Abiri and Mzee Okal as we mourned the loss of Mama Helida Abiri and Brian Okal. May their souls rest in eternal peace.

Like Job in the Bible, even in pain, we hold on to faith knowing that “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted” (Psalm 34:18).

As we journey together toward a better Mfangano Ward, may we continue standing united — in grief, in hope, and in purpose.

Today I had the privilege of meeting with the great people of Ringiti Island as I officially issued the football jerseys I had promised their club back in August. ✅

Beyond football, our discussion touched on real issues affecting our community — with security in the lake emerging as a major challenge for our hardworking fisherfolks.

I assured them that I will not sit back as they suffer. I am committed to engaging the relevant authorities to ensure their safety is prioritized and their livelihoods protected.

In the spirit of unity and appreciation, the residents of Ringiti Island honored me with a new name — “Akuru Marachar” — a reminder that true leadership comes with pure intentions.

This is the kind of leadership Mfangano deserves — a leadership that delivers on promises and listens to the people.
