Our team, led by Director John Ochola, conducted a feasibility study for the Kokuro Secondary School Water Project in Central Sakwa, Awendo Sub-County.

Once completed, the project will not only benefit residents of Central Sakwa but also extend much-needed water solutions to neighbouring communities in West Sakwa, where residents are also in dire need of a reliable and sufficient water supply.

The Department of Water and Energy has commenced feasibility studies and detailed design for the K-WASH projects funded by the World Bank.

The implementation of the Nyang'aya Water Project will significantly improve access to safe and reliable drinking water for residents of North Sakwa in Awendo Sub County.The project is expected to enhance water security, reduce the distance travelled in search of water, and improve the overall health and well-being of the local community.

Through proper feasibility assessment, detailed design, and appropriate technical planning, the Department aims to ensure sustainable and effective implementation of the project while maximizing the impact of the K-WASH investments.
