Today, I joined family, friends, leaders, and the people of Muthuaini Village in Kieni Constituency to pay my last respects and condole with my brother Hon. Kanini Kega following the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Ann Nyatoro Ndung’u.

Mama Ann Nyatoro was a woman of great grace, strength, and wisdom whose legacy will continue to live on through the family and community she touched.

I joined fellow leaders, family, and friends in condoling with Hon. Kanini Kega following the passing of his beloved mother, Mama Ann Nyatoro Ndung’u.

Hon. Kanini Kega is not only a fellow leader but also a member of Karura Boys Group, where I serve as Chair, and a member of PCEA Evergreen Church, Ridgeways District, where I shepherd.

I joined family, friends, and the people of Kihumbuini, Mukurweini in Gatanga Constituency to pay my last respects to the late Eunice Waithira Njoroge (Maringa), a respected matriarch who lived a remarkable 108 years of faith, grace, and service.

She was the beloved mother to my friend Samuel Kimani (USA), an investor in the Murang’a Industrial Park.

In attendance was the Area MCA, Hon. Gachui, among other mourners who came to celebrate a life well lived.

May her soul rest in eternal peace, and may her family find comfort during this difficult time. I delivered a message of condolence from HE Governor Irungu Kangata.

Insightful moments at the 6th Legislative Summit!

Mombasa, Kenya.

The forum reflected on the progress of devolution and the critical role of County Assemblies in shaping its future.

The conversations were clear—strong institutions are the backbone of devolution. From enhancing financial autonomy and deepening oversight to strengthening accountability, there is a growing need to empower County Assemblies to deliver effectively for wananchi.

Land management and affordable housing also took center stage, with a strong call for counties to take full ownership, streamline processes, and fast-track development that directly impacts communities.

While notable progress continues to be made, there is still room to improve—especially in ensuring timely funding, strengthening legal frameworks, and building institutional capacity.

As we move forward, the focus remains on practical solutions, stronger collaboration, and delivering real results for our people.

I had the honour of presiding over the State of the County Address by H.E. Dr. Irungu Kang’ata.

The address highlighted Murang’a’s progress in education, healthcare, agriculture, and governance, while also acknowledging the challenges ahead. Over 500 ECDE classrooms have been built or improved, more than 42,000 children are benefiting from the Uji programme, and over 86,000 farmers have received support.

In healthcare, telemedicine, dialysis services, and new facilities are expanding access across the county.

We also heard a bold vision for the future, with industrialization taking centre stage in driving jobs, growth, and prosperity.

As the County Assembly, we remain committed to supporting this vision through effective legislation, oversight, and representation.

Murang’a is moving forward.
