Kanguli Speaks With One Voice: Sonko Wins Hearts as He Delivers Support and Promises Mega Water Project
Kanguli today spoke with one voice as Ikanga/Kyatune Ward MCA Hon. Cyrus Musyoka, popularly known as Sonko, graced a Harambee at New Apostolic Church Kanguli in support of the church’s construction project. His financial contribution was warmly received by the congregation, who expressed their appreciation for his continued presence and support, noting that he has stood with them in previous church development projects. His appearance once again demonstrated his commitment to remaining close to the people and actively participating in community activities at the grassroots.
Taking the opportunity to engage directly with his constituents, Sonko highlighted some of the tangible projects his administration has delivered to the people of Kanguli. The congregation responded with enthusiastic ululations whenever he mentioned projects that have positively impacted the community, reflecting the growing appreciation for his development record and his continued visibility on the ground. He also announced that Kanguli is set to benefit from a mega water project during the 2026/2027 financial year, a major intervention that has already been included in the budget passed by the County Assembly of Kitui last month.
Sonko’s continued presence at community functions, coupled with his focus on development and direct engagement with residents, has strengthened his connection with the people of Ikanga/Kyatune Ward. His support for local initiatives, including churches and other community projects, has earned him recognition as a leader who remains accessible and attentive to the needs of his constituents. Today’s event further underscored his approach of combining development work with a strong presence among the people.
Sonko was accompanied by his Ward Assistant, Nicholas Kivite alias Ee Musava and Muli John. By the end of the engagement, the mood in Kanguli was unmistakable: the people expressed strong confidence in Sonko’s leadership and assured him of their support for a second term in office come next year. For Kanguli, the message was clear and united: 2027 is Sonko again. 💪🏻💪🏻
