This is 2007. The year that over 1100 Kenyans died and over 600,000 displaced due to post election violence and tribal clashes.

I say tribal clashes because it was majorly between Luos, kikuyus and kalenjins.

We are currently seeing that animosity being revived in a great way by the likes of Mutahi Kahiga, Gladys Wanga, Peter kaluma, William Kamket, Sudi and Githinji.

The drums are already beating and all they care is 2027 politics.

Kikuyus don't hate Luos. Luos don't hate kalenjins. If anything, Kenyans love each other so much but when it comes to politics, that's where we give politicians power and allow them to plant the seed of hate against our brothers and sisters from different tribes.

I also find it foolish when a struggling kenyan boasts of being in government or 'serikali no yetu sasa' instead of saying truth to power. They cannot criticise a government because the leader comes from their tribe. Anyone who criticises that government becomes an enemy of the president's tribe or automatically labeled 'Wamunyoro.'

Look at this picture and think. Githinji can't believe they are so few.

Kenyans can take power out of these politicians and decide to unite as one people, not bound by tribes and community boundaries. In bad governance, there are no Somali, luhya, Swahili, Kalenjin, Luo, Kikuyu, Turkana or any other tribe. There is nothing like 'we are in government' while at a personal level you are struggling like any other Kenyan out here.

We must unite and give these people a lesson. They thrive at dividing us. We must not give them that.

Let Him Rest

Even in death, they still chase his shadow,
Whispering mockery to the wind that carries his name.
the man who wrestled storms for their peace,
who carried a nation’s burdens on his scarred back,
and yet asked for nothing but fairness and justice.

Can a man not rest after giving his all?

We gave him to you, our son, our warrior, our living covenant.
He stood before kings and tyrants alike,
not with armies, but with truth,
and call to service.
He fought for your freedom with bare hands,
walked through prisons so you could speak freely and walk through polling stations.
He watered the roots of this republic with his pain,
And gave you a nation’s conscience.

You denied him the harvest of his own sweat,
stole his victories, mocked his patience,
You denied him the crown he earned with sweat and tears,
yet he still chose peace over fire.
and now even in silence, you disturb his grave with your words.

Enough.
You took his years, his crown, his peace
Do not take his rest.
Enough has been taken from him.

Now he returned home, not as a politician,
But as a son of the soil, a spirit of the land.
He returned to where kings return
not to rule nations,
but to sit among ancestors who know his name.

Let him rest.

What Governor Mutahi Kahiga has said about Raila's death isn’t politics, it’s a moral bankruptcy of the highest order! To stand before a crowd, take a microphone, and declare that the death of Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga was “God’s answer to the people of Mt. Kenya’s prayers” is not just insensitive, it’s a spiritual rot.

When did we become a people who celebrate death?
When did political rivalry turn into a justification for mockery over grief? Even in war, Africans respected the dead. You do not spit on the grave of a man who gave his life to shape the country you now misgovern.

Raila Odinga wasn’t just a man, he was a chapter of Kenya’s conscience. And if Mutahi Kahiga and Co brand of leadership now thrives on insulting the dead, then may their own words haunt you louder than the applause of their sycophants.

History records everything.
Today, the soil of Nyeri shakes not in celebration, but in shame because its leader traded wisdom for cheap laughter. Mock death all you want, but remember: the same ground that swallowed Raila waits for all of us.

The sun has set on a man who gave his life to the struggle.
The son of Jaramogi the son of Kenya.
He walked through fire for this nation,
Endured prisons, betrayals, torture yet never lost faith in the dream of a free Kenya.

For more than four decades, he stood tall,
Carrying the hopes of millions on weary shoulders.
When others bowed to comfort, he chose the hard road
For justice. For truth. For the people.

He was detained, silenced and tortured
But he never stopped believing that Kenya could rise.
He believed that democracy was worth pain,
That freedom was worth tears,
And that leadership was about service not privilege.

Now, the lion rests.
The streets are silent. The flags tremble in the wind.
But from the echoes of his voice, a message still rings:
“Stand up. Keep walking. The dream is not dead.”

To the new generation
This is your moment to rise.
Not with bitterness, but with purpose.
Not with noise, but with courage.

At Jumbo Mattress in Korowe Kisumu, stories of abuse and mistreatment of workers are becoming far too common. One such case involves Albert Odhiambo Ojwang who sustained injuries after an accident with a company truck in Voi while transporting goods from Mombasa to Kisumu. Instead of offering him assistance, the company hurriedly sent another truck to retrieve the goods, leaving him stranded with injuries and no support.

Albert was forced to pay his own medical bills and later organize his transport to Kisumu, where he spent two weeks admitted in hospital. Upon recovery and return, he was shocked to find that the company had stopped paying his salary and terminated his employment without providing any explanation or adhering to the contract agreement. This act of betrayal compounded his suffering both financially and emotionally.

His pursuit of justice has faced repeated resistance from the same company, whose owner allegedly brags about controlling the "system" that should deliver justice. Albert's plea reflects the cries of many other workers who have been subjected to similar injustices by this company. His story is not only about personal pain but also highlights a wider pattern of exploitation and disregard for workers' rights by this merciless employer.

The numbers are too many — we can’t just assume! Kenya National Highways Authority must abolish that Coptic Roundabout in Mamboleo and find a real solution, whether it’s an overpass or a complete highway redesign.

More than 21 people are gone tonight. They are not going back home. An entire village is in mourning — fathers, mothers, friends, and even a child, all lost in an instant.

And this is not the first time. Over the past years, this same roundabout has claimed countless lives — buses overturning, lorries crashing, families shattered. Just last year, an Uzima University bus overturned here, killing and injuring many. In April, a Chavakali Boys High School student died at this very spot. Again and again, blood is spilled on this stretch of road.

How many more coffins must pass before the government acts? The time for studies, meetings, and excuses is over. The time for action is now.

Just for rememberence

Today marks a sad day - Bomb Blast took over 200 innocent lives of my fellow Kenyans.
Was an intern in KBC and immediately blast happened rushed to the site. To date I am traumatized by what I saw.
