The Constitution of Kenya and our electoral laws are very clear. The Maina Kiai case made it even clearer: the voters’ will is established at the polling station through an open, transparent and participatory counting process, and once results are properly declared at constituency level, they are final and can only be challenged through an election petition.

This is why Kenyans must understand something very important.

The power to protect an election does not sit in a server. It does not sit in a computer. And it certainly does not belong to a few people sitting in a tallying room.

It belongs to the voters and, importantly, to the agents who witness the count at every polling station.

Our agents will be present, they witness the counting, obtain the declared results and transmit those results to our own tallying centre, we will have our own independent picture of what happened across the country.

Our job is simple.

Protect every polling station.
Have an agent at every polling station.
Record every result.
Transmit every result.
Build our own parallel tally.
And know the numbers before the country goes to sleep.

We will not wait for somebody to tell Kenyans what the results are, we will announce them directly to Kenyans.

To the Ruto regime, hear the words written on the wall long before we arrived at this hour: Mene, Mene, Tekel, Upharsin Your days are numbered, and Kenya will not wait for you to count them.

The trust of the people endures only when it is honoured, not merely spoken about. That is the leadership I offer.
To rebuild trust and strengthen our institutions, more importantly to protect the Constitution we fought so hard to give Kenyans.

There is a Gĩkũyũ saying carried for generations: Gũtirĩ ũtukũ ũtakĩa - there is no night, however long, that does not end in dawn.

Kenya's night has been long. But dawn is coming, and together we shall .

This evening I hosted my cousins from Mt. Kenya - business leaders, professionals and young people - for a candid conversation on the state of our nation and the Kenya we must build.

We talked economy, rule of law, institutional independence, opportunities for our youth, and the urgency of a free, fair and credible 2027 election.

The message was simple: Kenya belongs to all of us. We must unite across communities, defend our Constitution, and reclaim our country's future.

Kũrĩ arĩa a mama, nĩndamũcookeria ngatho nĩ ũndũ wa wendo, ũnyiitani hamwe, na iheo cianyu. I feel the weight of the confidence behind them.

The journey to restore and reset Kenya continues.
