HomeNet Kenya has consistently been a champion in sustainability and livelihood development initiatives, providing leadership and practical models that continue to inspire the region. Over the past few months, deliberate efforts have been undertaken to organize a resource mobilization training aimed at strengthening the capacity of organizations working within this space.
This initiative was made possible through the leadership of the Regional Coordinator for Africa, Edwin Bett, who worked closely with the National Executive Committee for Homenet Kenya.
Through this collaboration, a strategic partnership was established with The National Environment Trust Fund, enabling the successful delivery of the resource mobilization training.
The training convened country networks from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Africa, Liberia, Ghana, Rwanda, and Zimbabwe, creating a dynamic platform for regional learning, knowledge exchange, and collaboration. This engagement strengthened the collective understanding of sustainable financing, enhanced cross-country partnerships, and reinforced Kenya’s role as a regional leader in sustainability and livelihood development.
The intended impact is to empower participating organizations with the knowledge, tools, and networks required to mobilize resources more effectively, scale their interventions, and strengthen community resilience across the region.
