Today in Kyuso, our Party Leader, H.E Dr Kalonzo Musyoka witnessed a deeply moving moment as the community renamed Kyuso Girls School to Mama Pauline Kalonzo Girls – Kyuso; a powerful tribute to decades of selfless advocacy for the education of the girl child.
Speaking during the ceremony, PL reaffirmed a lifelong conviction: education is not a privilege for a few; it is the birthright of every Kenyan child.
Drawing from his humble roots, he emphasized that quality education must reach every corner of Kenya, reminding communities that real transformation begins when families, neighbours, and local leaders unite to keep every child, especially girls, in school.
“This is not just the naming of a school,” he said. “It is a declaration by the people of Kyuso that they believe in their daughters, in equality of opportunity, and in education as the strongest weapon against poverty and hopelessness.”
He paid special tribute to Mama Pauline Kalonzo Musyoka for her quiet strength and unwavering commitment to empowering young girls, noting that this legacy belongs to generations past, present, and future.
PL thanked the elected leaders who stood with the community on this historic day, including Makueni County Woman Representative and Wiper Women Patriots Patron Rose Museo, Kitui County Governor HE Dr Julius Malombe, Kitui County Woman Representative Irene Kasalu, Mwingi North MP Paul Nzengu and Kitui Central MP Hon Dr Makali Mulu, whose presence underscored a shared commitment to placing education at the centre of development.
He also applauded teachers, parents, and students whose performances reflected hope, discipline, and promise.
Mama Pauline Kalonzo Girls – Kyuso now stands as a covenant between generations, that no child will be left behind, and that the girl child will always have champions in her corner.
This is our promise. This is our purpose. Together, we shall Komboa Kenya.
