NG-CDF investment in Kesses Constituency continues to improve access to quality education through better learning infrastructure and bursary support.

The completion of modern facilities at ACK Chepkoiya Primary School and ACK St. Luke’s Cheptiret School has provided learners and teachers with safer and more conducive spaces for learning and administration.

Through the NG-CDF bursary programme, thousands of students from vulnerable households have also received support to remain in school and continue with their education.

The commissioning of these projects was attended by Chief guest Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago, Kesses MP Hon. CPA Julius Rutto, Emgwen MP Hon. Josses Lelmengit, NG-CDF Board Secretariat staff and other dignitaries.

The sessions mark the final phase of the exercise for the 2026/2027 Financial Year.

Today, the NG-CDF Board Acting CEO, Mr. Benjamin Magut, met with the NG-CDF Board Staff Football Team during the launch of their new football jerseys.

The Acting CEO reaffirmed his continued support, emphasizing the importance of sports and recreational activities in promoting teamwork, staff wellness, and creating a healthy work life balance between work and recreation.

The initiative provides staff with an opportunity to unwind, strengthen workplace relationships, boost morale, and foster team spirit beyond their daily work routines.

Learning at Mwikhomo Comprehensive School in Ikolomani Constituency has received a major boost following the commissioning and handover of a new eight-classroom tuition block.

The ceremony was led by Ikolomani MP Hon. Bernard Shinali Masaka, CBS, and attended by NG-CDF Board Chairperson Hon. John Olago Aluoch, CBS; Board Director Hon. Naomi Masitsa Shiyonga; and Ag. Chief Executive Officer Mr. Benjamin Magut.

With an enrolment of about 720 learners, including ECD pupils, the additional classrooms will ease congestion and provide a more conducive learning environment.

The Board is undertaking the final cohort of negotiations and signing of Constituency Performance Contracts for the 2026/2027 Financial Year, alongside preparation of the 2025/2026 Financial Statements across the Coast, Nairobi, South Rift and Nyanza regions.

Speaking during the Coast Region session in Nyali, Director John Olela, the Alternate Director to the PS Treasury, said the Board is placing greater emphasis on strengthening Regional Offices as part of the move to decentralise services and bring Board support closer to constituencies. Constituency reporting is now being coordinated through the Regional Offices, a departure from the past when reports were submitted directly to departments at Headquarter.

Mr. Olela also praised constituencies for the progress made during the recent regional review of project proposals, which has seen the Board approving about 90 per cent of the proposals. He assured constituencies of the Board’s continued support as they proceed to implement the Performance Contracts in line with the negotiated and agreed targets.

𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗡𝗚-𝗖𝗗𝗙 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁

The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) Board has successfully concluded the final phase of its nationwide review of constituency project proposals for the 2026/2027 Financial Year, alongside the rollout of the Vote Book Management System (VBMS), completing the exercise across the country.

The exercise enabled constituencies to prioritize projects in education, security, Digital Hubs and community development while strengthening compliance, accountability and timely project implementation. The VBMS rollout, a key component of the SMART NG-CDF digital transformation programme, is expected to automate financial management processes, enhance transparency, improve accountability and support efficient management of constituency funds.

The successful completion of the nationwide exercise marks an important step in strengthening project planning, financial management and service delivery across constituencies.

The Project Proposal Review Exercise for the 2026/2027 Financial Year for Coast Region Constituencies is currently underway.

The exercise was officially opened by Mr. Festus Wangwe, Alternate Director to the Principal Secretary, State Department for Economic Planning. During his address, Mr. Wangwe conveyed heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Newman Munga Mbai, recognizing his dedication and industrious service as an NG-CDF Board Desk Officer.

Emphasizing the vision of the Fund,sustainable and transformative development countrywide,Mr. Wangwe urged all officers to maintain high standards of accountability and transparency in project implementation to deliver maximum value to citizens. He concluded with a commendation to the Fund Account Managers, CDFC Chairpersons, and Clerks of Works present for their commitment to taking constituency development to the next level.
