Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccines are safe!

WHO has concluded that the available data do not support an association between HPV vaccination and infertility.

Make sure that your son or daughter between 9 to 14 years receives the HPV vaccine. It will protect them from HPV infection, which may lead to cervical cancer and HPV-related cancers.

Sport is more than competition; it is a powerful platform to reach, empower and protect young people. The National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC) in partnership with the Kenya National Olympic Committee (NOC-K) is using the ANOCA Zone Five Youth Games at Kenyatta University, Nairobi, to advance the End the Triple Threat initiative in the response against new HIV infections, unintended pregnancies and gender-based violence.

Through the partnership, NSDCC provided 750 dignity packs to support more than 140 female adolescent and young athletes participating in the Games. Bringing together about 300 young athletes from 11 countries, the Games provide an important platform to promote menstrual health, dignity, informed choices and safer, healthier futures for young people helping girls and young women thrive both on and off the field.
