African Forest, in collaboration with botanist Mwadime Nyange, urban forester Cathy Watson, and youth-led CBO Together4Climate, has completed a detailed botanical survey of Uhuru Garden, one of Mombasa's last true green spaces.
📊 143 trees and shrubs counted
🌳 55 species recorded – 16 indigenous, 4 of them rare or threatened
🦇 Home to thousands of straw-coloured fruit bats and several Near Threatened tree species
