Moral values are first learned at home. Parents are a child's first teachers and have the primary responsibility of instilling discipline, respect, honesty and integrity. Schools and society play an important supporting role in reinforcing these values. Therefore, when a student lacks morals, the responsibility should not be placed solely on teachers, as character formation begins with the family before it is nurtured by educators and the wider community.
