Preparing for Mandela Day in Kenya

The Kiambu County Library Service Thika ( KCLS Thika) staff had a great opportunity to introduce Rangers coding to staff of Umoja LVCT Dreams Makongeni, Thika, Kenya.

LVCT health is a non- governmental organization of the Dreams initiative, empowering vulnerable adolescent girls and young women between the age of 10- 24 years with the knowledge and skills to make health choice and remain HIV free.

Madam Caroline Omondi who is the manager of LVCT Makongeni, stated that the staff were so happy and that the game helped them in problem solving, explore their team work skills and boost their confidence.

She also said KCLS Thika will be most welcom to train their students on Rangers.

They are willing to participate in the Mandela Say tournament by Tangible Africa, that is scheduled on 18 July 2024.

To enroll, you are required to have KCSE Certificate. Our trainers are well equipped and qualified to train you to be a star signer/ sign language interpreter.

Department of Education, Gender, Culture & Social Services - Kiambu County through the Directorate of Culture and Library Services conducted the 18th graduation ceremony where a total of 250 students graduated with ICT Certification.

Mr. Ken who is the Director for culture and library service graced the occasion

The program is a three month program that is conducted throughout the year in conjunction with other partners.
