Your Life is Irreplaceable
With the current weather patterns and the rising water levels we are seeing across various regions, I want to take a moment to share a word of sincere caution.
For those of you living in areas prone to flooding or currently situated near dangerous water paths: please do not wait.
Water is a powerful force that can become life-threatening in a matter of seconds. No property, piece of furniture, or sentimental item is worth more than your life or the lives of your family members. If the waters are rising, please prioritize your safety and move to higher, more secure ground immediately.
A few critical reminders:
Evacuate early: Do not wait until you are surrounded by water. It is much safer to move while roads are still clear and visible.
Avoid walking or driving through floodwaters: It only takes six inches of moving water to knock an adult off their feet and less than two feet to sweep away a vehicle.
Property can be replaced: We can always rebuild and return when the situation stabilizes, but we cannot replace you.
Please look out for one another. If you have neighbors who may need extra help—especially the elderly or those with young children—reach out and assist them in moving to safety if you can do so without risking your own life.
Let’s be wise and stay safe. We can go back when the time is right, but for now, the priority is survival.
Stay safe and stay vigilant.
