As a parent here in Wundanyi, I have thought deeply about the future of our children’s education. I have asked myself: who can take education from where the current MP has left it and elevate it to a higher level — not just through promises, but through real, measurable results?

As parents, we all want the same thing: better opportunities for our children than we had. We want them to learn in a supportive environment, access the resources they need, stay motivated, and be prepared for today’s competitive world.

That is why when I look at the work Athanas Mbele has already done, I feel encouraged.

Through:

Elimu Mbele – providing bursaries to needy students so no child drops out because of school fees.

Building school kitchens to improve the learning environment.

Food4School – supporting school feeding programs to enhance attendance and concentration.

MbeleNaonaSuccess – supplying exam materials to vulnerable candidates.

ExamFoodProgram – providing exam meals to 73 schools to support students during critical periods.

A’s Program – awarding laptops to top-performing A students to encourage excellence.

Digital Literacy Initiative – donating computers to 23 Junior Secondary Schools to prepare learners for the digital future.

Kipepeo Program – providing sanitary towels to girls to ensure uninterrupted learning.

As we laid her to rest, our hearts are heavy with grief. Yet, we stand together in prayer, offering comfort, love, and solidarity to her family during this painful time.
