🎈The 2nd ICT Festival: Celebrating Growth in Cambodia’s ICT Education🎈

On July 16, 2026, the 2nd ICT Festival was held at Kandal Regional Teacher Training Center (RTTC). The festival celebrated the enhanced ICT competencies of students and teachers developed through KOICA's “ICT Capacity Building for Lower Secondary Education in Cambodia” project. Representatives from KOICA Cambodia and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) also attended the event to celebrate the project's achievements.🎉

Around 120 students from ICT leading schools showcased their skills in the ICT Competition and gained new learning experiences through a Special Coding Session.📖 Meanwhile, 20 ICT teachers and 20 ICT pre-teachers shared outstanding teaching practices and exchanged ideas on effective ICT teaching methods, creating a valuable opportunity for professional learning and collaboration.💡

The festival was a meaningful occasion to witness the strengthened ICT competencies of students and teachers and celebrate the achievements of the project together. We look forward to seeing Cambodia's ICT education continue to grow with KOICA's support.🌟

🌏 Disability Awareness Campaign: Beyond the Senses

On 11 July 2026, Prek Eng High School in Phnom Penh came alive with a truly meaningful event: the Beyond the Senses, Disability Awareness Campaign.✨

Organised by the KOICA Cambodia Project Volunteers at the National Institute of Special Education (NISE), the event brought together students from the special education school, NISE teachers, KOICA volunteers, parents, and members of the public - all in one space, learning from one another.

The day gave everyone a chance to step into different ways of communicating and connecting, building deeper respect for people with disabilities as equal members of our community.💙

Students with disabilities took part in fun, engaging activities. Also, Parents and community members joined Braille education sessions, tried visual impairment simulations, and tested their knowledge through disability awareness quizzes. Together, these experiences helped build greater understanding and stronger bonds of inclusion.

The most touching moments came from the children themselves, a choir performance by children with visual impairments and a dance performance by children with hearing impairments. Their courage and beautiful performances moved everyone in the crowd. 🎶

The KOICA Project Volunteers at NISE remain dedicated to improving education for students with disabilities, enhancing learning environments for students with visual and hearing impairments, and strengthening the skills of NISE's teachers and staff.

We hope the experience of inclusion seen at this event continues to spread across Cambodia.

KOICA Cambodia Office remains committed to walking this journey toward a more inclusive society, together. 🇰🇭🤝🇰🇷
