2021 ACRC Virtual Training Course for International Anti-Corruption Practitioners

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission of the Republic of Korea will host the 2021 ACRC Virtual Training Course for International Anti-Corruption Practitioners on October 18-22, 2021. With coronavirus infections soaring worldwide, the upcoming training course will be held as a webinar.

The training course is designed to help build the capacity to develop and implement effective anti-corruption policies and measures, covering various subjects including anti-corruption strategy, preventive measures, investigation of corruption, and protection of whistleblowers.

Each organization can nominate two applicants who are proficient in the English language to attend the webinar. For details, visit the webisite of the ACRC:

The 2020 ACRC Training Course for International Anti-Corruption Practitioners will be held as a webinar in November.

The ACRC has organized the annual training course to help build anti-corruption capacity of public officials from around the world since 2013. This year's course will be organized as a webinar for the first time due to the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The webinar will be conducted in the Russian language for three days on November 3-5; and in the English language for six days on November 17-19 and 24-26. It will bring together anti-corruption practitioners from all over the world, and is designed to help build the capacity to develop and implement effective anti-corruption policies and measures.

The webinar will cover various subjects including anti-corruption strategy, preventive measures, investigation of corruption, and whistleblower protection as well as Korea’s anti-corruption systems and major anti-corruption policies.

The application for the 2020 course has been closed, and the ACRC will open application for the 2021 course in December 2020.

We are now receiving applications for the 2019 ACRC Training Course for International Anti-Corruption Practitioners to be held on 13-22 May 2019 in Korea.

The ACRC has organized the annual training course to help build anti-corruption capacity of public officials from around the world since 2013. The training course aims to improve practical knowledge and skills needed to develop and implement anti-corruption policies.

The 2019 training program will focus on Chapter 2 (Preventive Measures) and Chapter 5 (Asset Recovery) of the United Nations Convention against Corruption by addressing topics such as evaluation of the implementation of anti-corruption policies, assessment of corruption risks in laws, protection of whistleblowers, anti-corruption training, and asset recovery.

The applicant should be a working-level official of an anti-corruption agency or other government organization responsible for preventing or investigating corruption; be fluent in English; be selected by the organization that he or she belongs to, and recommended by the head of the organization.

Airfare and accommodation will be covered by the ACRC for the participants from developing countries that are on the OECD DAC (Development Assistance Committee) List:http://www.oecd.org/dac/financing-sustainable-development/development-finance-standards/DAC_List_ODA_Recipients2018to2020_flows_En.pdf

The ACRC has organized the annual training course to help build anti-corruption capacity of public officials from around the world since 2013. The training course aims to improve practical knowledge and skills needed to develop and implement anti-corruption policies.
