🇮🇪 🇪🇺 아일랜드는 오는 7월 1일부터 12월 31일까지 유럽연합 이사회 의장국을 수임합니다. 이를 기념해 주한아일랜드대사관은 아일랜드를 대표하는 피아니스트 존 오코너를 초청하여 예술의전당과 공동으로 리사이틀을 개최합니다.
‘피아노의 시인’으로 널리 알려진 존 오코너는 반세기가 넘는 세월 동안 깊이 있는 음악성과 섬세한 해석으로 전 세계 음악계와 관객들로부터 깊은 찬사를 받아왔습니다.
이번 공연은 아일랜드의 유럽연합 이사회 의장국 수임을 기념하는 자리인 동시에, 한국 내 유럽연합에 대한 이해와 관심을 더욱 높이는 뜻깊은 자리가 될 것으로 기대합니다. 나아가 아일랜드는 의장국으로서 유럽연합 회원국 간 협력을 강화하고 공동의 이익을 증진하는 한편, 유럽이 직면한 주요 과제들에 대한 공동의 해법을 모색하는 데 주도적인 역할을 수행해 나갈 것입니다.

From 1 July to 31 December 2026, Ireland will assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. To mark this occasion, the Embassy of Ireland in Seoul, in partnership with the Seoul Arts Centre, proudly presents a piano recital by John O’Conor on 24 June. Widely regarded as Ireland’s most renowned pianist, John O’Conor represents Europe at its finest, distinguished by his profound musicality and refined artistry.
This cultural event is expected to provide a valuable opportunity to foster greater understanding of and engagement with the European Union in Korea. During its presidency, Ireland will pursue an ambitious agenda, seeking to serve the Union’s collective interests and respond to Europe’s most pressing and urgent needs, while preparing the Union to face the challenges of the future.
