[탄자니아 현지 언론사 파트너십 강화 기자 간담회] [KR/EN]

안녕하세요, 코이카 탄자니아사무소입니다.

지난 5월 26일 탄자니아 현지 언론사 파트너십 강화 기자 간담회가 개최되었습니다. 이번 간담회에는 11개 언론사 18명의 언론인이 참석하여 대한민국 ODA 사업의 추진 현황과 주요 성과를 공유하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

코이카 소개와 함께 국별협력사업, 시민사회협력사업, 연수사업 등 핵심 프로젝트를 설명하고, 탄자니아 내 ODA 사업 인지도 제고 및 성과 확산을 위한 언론 협조 방안을 논의하였습니다. 이어진 질의응답을 통해 상호 이해를 높였으며, 향후 지속적인 교류와 협력을 이어가기로 뜻을 모았습니다.

코이카 탄자니아사무소는 앞으로도 현지 언론과의 협력을 통해 대한민국 ODA 사업의 성과를 널리 확산해 나가겠습니다. 💙

[2026 KOICA Tanzania Press Workshop]

Hello from the KOICA Tanzania Office.

On May 26, the 2026 KOICA Tanzania Press Workshop was held with the participation of 18 journalists from 11 media outlets.

During the workshop, KOICA introduced its mission and key ODA projects in Tanzania. Participants discussed ways to strengthen media cooperation to enhance public awareness and effectively disseminate the achievements of Korea’s ODA projects in Tanzania.

The session concluded with an active Q&A discussion, and both sides agreed to continue close communication and collaboration moving forward.

The KOICA Tanzania Office will further strengthen partnerships with local media to expand the visibility and impact of Korea’s development cooperation efforts. 💙

[다레살람대학교 한국학 연구센터 사무소 방문] [KR/EN]

KOICA 탄자니아사무소에 다레살람대학교(University of Dar es Salaam, UDSM) 한국학 연구센터 학생들이 방문했습니다.

이번 방문에서는 KOICA 탄자니아사무소의 주요 사업을 소개하고, 개발협력 분야 진로 탐색을 위한 질의응답 시간을 가졌습니다. 또한 학생들은 사무소장님과의 면담을 통해 한국어 공부에 대한 열정과 진로에 대한 이야기를 나누는 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌습니다.

개발학, 정치외교학, 수자원학과, 연극영화학과, 역사학과 등 다양한 전공의 학생들이 다양한 경로를 통해 한국문화에 대한 관심을 키우고 있다는 점이 특별히 인상깊었습니다.

앞으로도 KOICA는 탄자니아와 한국 간의 교류와 협력이 더욱 활발해질 수 있도록 지속적으로 응원하겠습니다.

[Visit of UDSM Korean Studies Center Students to KOICA Tanzania Office]

Students from the Korean Studies Center at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) visited the KOICA Tanzania Office! 🇹🇿🇰🇷

During the visit, the students were introduced to KOICA Tanzania Office’s major projects and had a Q&A session to explore career opportunities in the field of development cooperation. They also had a meaningful meeting with the Country Director, where they shared their passion for learning the Korean language and discussed their future aspirations.

It was especially impressive to see students from diverse academic backgrounds — including Development Studies, Political Science and International Relations, Water Resources Engineering, Theatre and Film Studies, and History — developing their interest in Korean culture through various channels and experiences.

KOICA will continue to support and encourage stronger exchanges and cooperation between Tanzania and Korea.

[2026년 WFK 협력기관 협의회 진행] [KR/EN]

안녕하세요, 코이카 탄자니아사무소입니다.

5월 14일부터 5월 15일까지 잔지바르와 도도마에서 2026년 WFK 협력기관 협의회가 열렸습니다.

1일차 잔지바르 행사에는 코이카 탄자니아사무소 김식현 소장, 잔지바르 교육부, 코이카 봉사단 파견 기관, PMO-RALG 등이 참석하였습니다.
봉사단 파견 기관인 콰라라 미디어센터와 자문단 파견기관인 MUST에서 봉사단 파견으로 인한 이점과 성과를 공유했습니다. 또한 문화ODA, K-Culture를 녹혀 태권도 시범 행사도 진행되었습니다.

2일차 도도마 행사에서는 비자발급 기관과 정부 부처를 대상으로 협의회를 진행하였습니다. TNMC, 탄자니아 교육부, 보건부, POPSM, PORALG, 봉사단 파견기관 Makole Health Center의 관계자가 참석하였습니다.
김식현 소장은 봉사단 파견에서 가장 중요한 비자 발급과 관련한 협조를 구하며 앞으로 계속적인 협력을 통해 봉사단을 촉매로 양국간 협력관계를 강화해 나가기를 희망한다고 밝혔습니다.

코이카 탄자니아사무소는 앞으로도 협력기관과의 긴밀한 소통을 통해서 봉사단 사업의 효과성과 지속성을 높여나가겠습니다.

[2026 WFK Partner Consultative Meeting] [KR/EN]

Hello from the KOICA Tanzania Office.

From May 14 to 15, the 2026 WFK Partner Consultative Meeting was held in Zanzibar and Dodoma.

On the first day in Zanzibar, Country Director S*k-hyon Kim of the KOICA Tanzania Office, officials from the Zanzibar Ministry of Education, WFK partner institutions, and PMO-RALG attended the meeting.
Kwarara Media Center and MUST shared the benefits and achievements resulting from hosting WFK volunteers. A Taekwondo demonstration was also presented, incorporating elements of Cultural ODA and K-Culture.

On the second day in Dodoma, the consultative meeting was held with visa-issuing authorities and relevant government institutions. Representatives from TNMC, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Health, POPSM, PORALG, and Makole Health Center participated.
Country Director S*k-hyon Kim requested continued cooperation, particularly regarding visa facilitation, which is essential for volunteer deployment, and expressed his hope that sustained collaboration would further strengthen bilateral relations through the WFK program.

The KOICA Tanzania Office will continue to enhance the effectiveness and sustainability of the WFK program through close communication with partner institutions. 💙

[탄자니아 고속도로 마스터플랜 수립 및 고속도로 개발 역량강화 사업 2차 현지 워크숍 실시] [KR/EN]

안녕하세요, 코이카 탄자니아사무소입니다.

5월 11일부터 5월 13일까지 3일간 모로고로에서 '탄자니아 고속도로 마스터플랜 수립 및 고속도로 개발 역량강화 사업'의 2차 현지 워크숍이 진행되었습니다.

이번 워크숍에서는 PMC 전문가단(한국종합기술 천용현PM, 이학준 차장, 유신 배성일 부사장, 권영인 부사장)이 강의를 맡아 실무 중심의 역량 강화를 지원하였습니다. TANROADS 26개 지사 담당 인력과 탄자니아 건설부(MoW) PIU 구성원들이 참석하였으며, 교통 정책, 교통 수요 예측, 교통 조사 방법, 도로망 계획 등 고속도로 종합계획 수립을 위한 핵심 주제를 중심으로 강의가 이루어졌습니다.

코이카 탄자니아사무소 김식현 소장은 워크숍 폐회식에서 폐회사를 통해 참석자들을 격려하였습니다.

탄자니아의 지속가능한 교통 인프라 구축을 위해 많은 관심 부탁드립니다.

[2nd Workshop for the Project for Establishment of Tanzania Expressway Master Plan and Enhancement of Human Resource Capacities]

Hello from the KOICA Tanzania Office.

From May 11 to May 13, the 2nd local workshop under the “Project for Establishment of Tanzania Expressway Master Plan and Enhancement of Human Resource Capacities” was held in Morogoro.

During the workshop, PMC experts delivered lectures to strengthen practical capacity. A total of 26 TANROADS regional office representatives and members of the Ministry of Works (MoW) PIU participated in sessions covering key topics such as transport policy, traffic demand forecasting, traffic survey methodologies, and road network planning.

Mr. Kim S*k hyon, Country Director of the KOICA Tanzania Office, attended the closing ceremony and delivered closing remarks to encourage the participants.

We appreciate your continued interest in building sustainable transport infrastructure in Tanzania.

[제6기 프로젝트 봉사단 현지적응교육 실시] [KR/EN]

안녕하세요, 코이카 탄자니아사무소입니다.

5월 3일부터 5월 8일까지 6일간 잔지바르에서 제6기 프로젝트 봉사단 현지적응교육이 진행되었습니다.

이번 교육은 봉사단원들이 파견지를 깊이 이해하고 현장 활동을 체계적으로 준비할 수 있도록 돕기 위해 마련되었습니다.

스와힐리어 수업과 현지 문화·역사 강의를 통해 파견지 이해를 높이고, 파견기관 방문 및 선배 단원 활동 사례 공유를 통해 활동 방향을 구체화하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 또한 팀빌딩 프로그램을 통해 협업 역량을 강화하며, 향후 3개월간 이어질 활동의 기반을 다졌습니다.

6기 프로젝트 봉사단 13명의 단원들은 5월 3일부터 7월 31일까지 과학 및 위생 교육 분야에서 Machui, Fukuchani, Chumbuni, Jendele, Chaani, Langoni Secondary School 총 6개 기관에 파견되어 활동할 예정입니다.

코이카 탄자니아사무소는 앞으로도 단원들이 현장에서 의미 있는 변화를 만들어갈 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠습니다. 💙

[Local Adaptation Training for the 6th Project Volunteers]

Hello from the KOICA Tanzania Office.

From May 3 to May 8, the Local Adaptation Training for the 6th Project Volunteers was conducted in Zanzibar, concluding with a completion ceremony.

The training aimed to enhance the volunteers’ understanding of their host communities and prepare them for effective field activities. Participants attended Swahili language classes, cultural and historical lectures, and visited assigned institutions to gain practical insights into their upcoming roles.

The program also focused on strengthening teamwork and collaboration through team-building activities. A total of 13 volunteers will be deployed from May 3 to July 31 to six secondary schools—Machui, Fukuchani, Chumbuni, Jendele, Chaani, and Langoni—where they will conduct science and hygiene education activities.

The KOICA Tanzania Office will continue to support the volunteers as they carry out their missions over the next three months. 💙

5월 12일, 코이카 탄자니아사무소와 한국 기반 NGO인 글로벌 투게더(Global Together)는 탄자니아에서 추진 예정인 시민사회협력사업과 관련하여 협력 방안을 논의하는 업무 미팅을 개최하였습니다.

글로벌 투게더 김교식 대표는 향후 수행 예정인 사업 분야 및 주요 활동 계획을 공유하였으며, 김식현 소장은 탄자니아의 개발 현황과 협력 가능 분야에 대해 의견을 나누었습니다.

[Meeting between KOICA Tanzania Office and Global Together on Civil Society Cooperation Projects]

On 12 May 2026, the KOICA Tanzania Office and Global Together held a meeting to discuss possible areas of cooperation in civil society cooperation projects to be implemented in Tanzania.

Mr. Kim Kyo Shik, Representative of Global Together, shared the sectors and activities that the organization plans to implement in Tanzania. Mr. Kim S*k-hyon, Country Director of the KOICA Tanzania Office, also shared insights on potential areas of cooperation as well as the current development context in Tanzania.

[아프리카 대륙 청소년지도자 디지털 역량강화사업 2차년도 초청연수 현지 OT 실시] [KR/EN]

안녕하세요, 코이카 탄자니아사무소입니다.

지난 5월 8일, '아프리카 대륙 청소년지도자 디지털 역량강화 사업 2차년도 초청연수 참가자들을 대상으로 현지 오리엔테이션을 실시하였습니다.

이번 초청연수는 탄자니아 President Office Youth Development의 고위급 관계자 3인을 대상으로 진행됩니다. 현지 오리엔테이션에서는 연수 일정과 출입국 시 유의사항을 포함해 사전 준비사항 등을 공유하는 시간을 가졌습니다.

앞으로 2주간 이어질 초청연수에 많은 관심 부탁드립니다.💙

[Orientation for Digital Capacity Building for Youth Workers in African Continent]

On May 8, an orientation session was conducted for participants of the 2nd-year fellowship program under the “Digital Capacity Building for Youth Workers in African Continent” project.

This program will be attended by three senior-level officials from the President’s Office – Youth Development of Tanzania. During the orientation, participants were briefed on the training schedule, entry and exit requirements, and other preparatory matters.

Hello 😊 The KOICA Tanzania Office recently visited University of Dar es Salaam and held a meeting with the Representative of the Vice Chancellor.

During the meeting, both sides discussed potential areas of collaboration, including possible linkages with the WFK program and the current operation of the Korean Studies Center. It was also a meaningful opportunity to explore future cooperation together.
