Hon. Rolston Anglin, Minister for Education & Training, attended the Autism Acceptance Grand Opening and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Friday, 31 July, at the organisation’s new location on 13 Melody Lane.

The significant milestone marks an important step forward for inclusion in the Cayman Islands, as Autism Acceptance is the first neurodivergent-friendly community space in the Cayman Islands. The new space provides children and adults with autism a safe and welcoming environment where they can access support, build connections, engage with the community and, most importantly, feel a sense of belonging.

In his remarks, Minister Anglin highlighted the importance of creating a more inclusive community and acknowledged that there is still work to be done. He stressed the need to remain focused on ensuring that resources are prioritised for individuals and families who need them most.

The opening of this new space represents a meaningful step towards building a Cayman Islands where everyone feels supported, valued and included. The Ministry of Education & Training congratulates Autism Acceptance on this important achievement and looks forward to seeing the positive impact this space will have on the community.
