"NamChai" is Lao and literally describes a person with a “water heart”, i.e. someone who has compassion and cares.

NamChai Community Center is a space for Lao and expats to pursue activities which foster community spirit, mutual support, and self-development.

And this is how you find us: Rue Bourichane (same street as Cafe Vanille and Thai embassy); opposite horse ranch (Google Maps: 17.96438, 102.63409). Our opening hours are event-based for now, so make sure to check activity announcements on this page. We are looking forward to see you soon!

Sales of NamChai items tomorrow, Saturday 21st! Drop by between 11am - 4pm to get the last pieces of mainly furniture, kitchen items and other loved pieces. No reservation of items possible; first come, first serve!
The income from this sale will majorly finance a donation drive to a Southern school which will get all of NamChai’s books and toys (more on that later!).
Hope to see many of you tomorrow! ❤️

We couldn’t be happier that the very last activity at NamChai Center was a First Aid training! Thanks to the enthusiastic participants, and to wonderful trainer Zain and assistant trainer Tui!
