Fisher Learning Exchange Programme – Grenada
In July, it was the turn of 10 fishers from around Saint. Lucia to visit the island of Grenada. The team was accompanied by the CC4FISH project coordinator. During the 5 day visit, the team visited the Molinere Beausejour and the Grande Anse MPAs, the Grenville Fishing Port, and the Sandy Island MPA in Carriacou. St. Lucian fishers met with their counterparts from the communities of the Beausejour River Watershed, Grenville and Gouyave and held useful discussions on community based management of marine areas (Reef Guardians) and fisher initiated FAD management. The fishers also observed salting of fish in Carriacou. The fishers were expressly interested in the long line fishery

Aquaculture Management Plan Workshop
The Department of Fisheries, under it CC4FISH Climate Change Adaptation in the Eastern Caribbean Fisheries sector project, is seeking to produce an Aquaculture Development and Management Plan (ADMP) in order to build climate resilience in the industry and ensure that farmers are able to maximize potential benefits from the culture

of aquatic species both inland and offshore. To be successful, there must be full participation of all key stakeholders at all stages in the development of the ADMP. To this end a workshop was held in July 2018, bringing managers and farmers together to discuss the way forward with regards to the development of Aquaculture in Saint Lucia.
