The inaugural workshop of the North Western Province of the "Rise Together" project, which is proposed to be implemented by World Vision Lanka and SAFE Foundation institutions with the financial support of the European Union in conjunction with the state machinery, was held at the "KANDYAN REACH HOTEL" in Kurunegala.

The Governor of North Western Province, Mr. Tissa Warnasuriya, participated as the chief guest and the Chief Secretary of North Western Province, District Secretaries of Kurunegala and Puttalam, Heads of Ministries and Departments, the Assistant Superintendent of Police of Kurunegala, the Executive Director of SAFE Foundation, representatives of World Vision Lanka, representatives of NGOs, women's organizations, and youth organizations also participated in this event.
