Our international volunteer Miss. Nina Ridzonova from Slovakia is working alongside teachers to create engaging, student-centred learning experiences that strengthen English communication, life skills, psychosocial wellbeing, and cultural understanding.

Family Wellbeing Centre proudly participated in the National Stakeholder Consultation and Workshop organized by UNOPS Sri Lanka and the Vriddhi Programme in Colombo from 15–17 June 2026.

The consultation provided a valuable platform for reflection, knowledge sharing, and collaborative dialogue on strengthening communities through locally led solutions.

Participants engaged in discussions on key thematic areas including social cohesion, peacebuilding, community protection, gender equality, human rights, access to justice, inclusive governance, civil society resilience, and climate and disaster resilience. Critical issues such as land rights, displacement, post-conflict recovery, religious and cultural tensions, gender-based violence, women’s rights, psychosocial wellbeing, and community-based protection mechanisms were also explored.

The workshop enabled stakeholders to exchange experiences, strengthen partnerships, and identify practical approaches to addressing community challenges. It was an enriching opportunity to contribute to meaningful conversations that support sustainable development, social inclusion, and positive impact for communities across Sri Lanka.
