"රජය ආරම්භ කළ අධ්‍යාපන ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ තුළ වෘත්තීය අධ්‍යාපනයට විශේෂ අවධානයක් ලබා දී තිබෙනවා. සංවර්ධන සැලැස්මට අනුව, රටට අවශ්‍ය කරන ශ්‍රම බලකාය බිහිකිරීම වෘත්තීය අධ්‍යාපන ක්ෂේත්‍රයට පැවරී තිබෙන සුවිශේෂී වගකීමක්. නව අධ්‍යාපන ප්‍රතිසංස්කරණ හරහා සිසුන්ට පාසල තුළදී වෘත්තීය අධ්‍යාපන කටයුතු ආරම්භ කර, ඔවුන්ගේ ඉදිරි ඉලක්කයන්ට අනුව උසස් අධ්‍යාපනය දක්වා වෘත්තීය අධ්‍යාපනය හැදෑරීමට හැකි ක්‍රමවේදයක් සකස් කිරීමයි අපේ අපේක්ෂාව."

තෘතියික හා වෘත්තීය අධ්‍යාපන පද්ධතිය (TVEC) මගින් ජාතික වෘත්තීය සුදුසුකම් (NVQ) සහතික මිලියනයක් පිරිනමා අවසන් බව සනිටුහන් කිරීම සඳහා අගෝස්තු 12 වැනිදා බණ්ඩාරනායක අනුස්මරණ ජාත්‍යන්තර සම්මන්ත්‍රණ ශාලාවේදී (BMICH) පැවති උත්සවය

"அரசாங்கம் ஆரம்பித்திருக்கின்ற கல்விச் சீர்திருத்தங்களுக்குள் தொழிற்கல்விக்கு விசேட கவனம் செலுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது. அபிவிருத்தித் திட்டத்திற்கு அமைய, நாட்டிற்குத் தேவையான மனிதவளத்தை உருவாக்குவது தொழிற்கல்வித் துறைக்கு ஒப்படைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் விசேட பொறுப்பாகும். புதிய கல்விச் சீர்திருத்தங்களின் ஊடாக மாணவர்கள் பாடசாலைக்குள்ளேயே தொழிற்கல்வி நடவடிக்கைகளை ஆரம்பித்து, அவர்களின் எதிர்கால இலக்குகளுக்கு அமைய உயர்கல்வி வரை தொழிற்கல்வியைப் பயிலக்கூடிய வழிமுறையொன்றை உருவாக்குவதே நமது எதிர்பார்ப்பாகும்."

மூன்றாம்நிலை மற்றும் தொழிற்கல்வி முறைமையின் (TVEC) மூலம் ஒரு மில்லியன் தேசிய தொழில்வாய்ப்புத் தகைமைச் (NVQ) சான்றிதழ்கள் வழங்கி முடிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதைக் குறிக்கும் வகையில், ஆகஸ்ட் 12 ஆம் திகதி பண்டாரநாயக்க ஞாபகார்த்த சர்வதேச மாநாட்டு மண்டபத்தில் (BMICH) நடைபெற்ற நிகழ்வில் கலந்துகொண்டு..

"The Government’s education reforms have placed special emphasis on vocational education. In line with the country’s development priorities, the vocational education sector has an important responsibility to develop the skilled workforce Sri Lanka needs. Through the new education reforms, we aim to create pathways that enable students to begin vocational education at school and progress to higher levels of education and training in line with their aspirations and future goals."

While attending a ceremony held at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) on 12 August to mark the milestone of issuing one million National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) certificates through Sri Lanka’s tertiary and vocational education system..
