Egyptian Ambassador Pays Farewell Courtesy Call on Secretary of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd)

The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sri Lanka, H.E. Adel Ibrahim, paid a farewell courtesy call on the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha, ahead of the conclusion of his diplomatic assignment in Sri Lanka.

During the meeting, Ambassador Adel Ibrahim expressed his appreciation for the cooperation and support extended by the Ministry of Defence and the Sri Lankan authorities throughout his tenure. He highlighted the longstanding friendship between Egypt and Sri Lanka and the importance of continued cooperation and engagement between the two countries.

Secretary of Defence Mr. Sampath Thuyacontha acknowledged the Ambassador’s contribution towards strengthening bilateral relations and appreciated his efforts in enhancing cooperation between Egypt and Sri Lanka, particularly in areas of mutual interest.

The meeting concluded on a cordial note, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to maintaining and further strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between the two nations.

The Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sri Lanka, H.E. Adel Ibrahim, paid a farewell courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, ahead of the conclusion of his diplomatic assignment in Sri Lanka.

During the meeting, Ambassador Adel Ibrahim expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government and people of Sri Lanka for the friendship, cooperation, and support extended to him throughout his tenure. He highlighted the enduring ties between Egypt and Sri Lanka and reflected on the progress made in strengthening bilateral relations during his mission.

Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development Meets Egyptian Ambassador

The Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development, Hon. Wasantha Samarasinghe, met with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sri Lanka, H.E. Adel Ibrahim, for a courtesy meeting to discuss matters of mutual interest and avenues for strengthening bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on enhancing trade and commercial relations between Sri Lanka and Egypt, expanding investment opportunities, and fostering greater collaboration in the areas of food security and economic development. Ambassador Adel Ibrahim Pays Farewell Call on Maldives Foreign Minister

His Excellency Ambassador Adel Ibrahim, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of Maldives, paid a farewell call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, Her Excellency Iruthisham Adam, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Malé.

During the meeting, Ambassador Adel Ibrahim expressed his sincere appreciation to the Government and the people of the Maldives for the warm hospitality, friendship, and excellent cooperation extended to him throughout his tenure.

The two sides reaffirmed the longstanding and friendly relations between Egypt and the Maldives and exchanged views on further enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
