On International Women's Day 2025 ,let's come together to honor the achievements of women everywhere, to amplify their voices, and to renew our commitment to gender equality.
As the world gears up to celebrate International Women's Day on March 8, 2025 it's a time to reflect on the progress made towards gender equality and to honour the incredible contributions of women around the globe. This day serves as a reminder of the ongoing fight for women's rights and the need to continue advocating for gender equality in all aspects of society. We were able to celebrate this beautiful day with a great Counsellor.

For the devotees who came to worship the sacred tooth relic at the Kandy Dalada Maligawa, District 306 C1 Zone 6B Lions Club organized a ten-day event for a large group of devotees, including Beli drink, Kotta Malli drink, vegetable soup, coconut roti with salt and chili, sugar sambal buns, biscuits, and tea buns.

LC of Kandy Heritage Empowers Young Talent at Serana Primary School Mahiyangana

In a heartfelt initiative to nurture young talent,those lions club successfully completed a meaningful project at Mahiyangana Serana College. Understanding the potential of students in this rural school,

The project was carried out with the presence of region chairperson Nandika kuruppu ,two Zone Chairperson (Region 6B) Lion Kumudu Singhawansa ,and Region Secretary Lion Kelum Rathnayaka, along with dedicated all club members. Their participation added great value to this initiative, ensuring that these students have the resources they need to explore and develop their skills and talents.

The Lions Club remains committed to uplifting communities and empowering the next generation. This project is a testament to the power of service and the positive change it brings.

MULTI SERVICE JOINT PROJECT 02

Very happy to announce that Multi Services Joint Project was done successfully on 12th December 2024 at Mawilmada SARANA SEWANA ELDERS' HOME with the participation of all clubs in the Region 6B.

There all necessary renovation done for the Home. Dry rations, kitchen utensils, clothes and coconut plants were also provided.
All direction boards for the Home were replaced with new ones.
