අපේ ජීවිත වෙනස් වෙද්දී, අපේ තේරීම් ද වෙනස් වෙන්න පුළුවන්. පහසුව අත් නොහැර, නැවත භාවිත කළ හැකි දේ තෝරාගැනීමෙන්, එක්වරක් පමණක් භාවිත කරන ප්ලාස්ටික් අවම කිරීමෙන් සහ ප්ලාස්ටික් නිසි ලෙස ප්‍රතිචක්‍රීකරණය කිරීමෙන්, තවත් ප්ලාස්ටික් අපද්‍රව්‍ය එකතු නොකර අපේ ජීවිත ඉදිරියට ගෙන යන්න පුළුවන්.

මොකද සැබෑ ප්‍රගතිය කියන්නේ ඉදිරියට යන එක විතරක් නෙවෙයි.

On the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, we honour Sri Lanka's Vedda community, the Wanniyala-Aetto, whose deep connection to the forest has sustained life and healing for generations.

This year's theme celebrates indigenous midwives and traditional knowledge that safeguards life and well-being. Across Sri Lanka's indigenous heritage, this wisdom has been passed down through generations, guiding communities in health, healing, and harmony with nature.

Protecting these traditions means protecting a living part of our island's identity. Let us honour, respect, and preserve the knowledge of our indigenous peoples for the generations to come.
