❤️🦿 Prosthetic Leg Donation Programme – Restoring Mobility and Hope 🦿❤️
Following the successful prosthetic leg fitting and adjustment assessment conducted in June, the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society – Monaragala Branch, in collaboration with the Centre for Handicapped, successfully donated prosthetic legs to 29 beneficiaries on 10th July 2026.
The donation ceremony was held at the Buttala Cultural Centre and was graced by the presence of the Additional District Secretary of Monaragala, the Divisional Secretary of Buttala, the Social Services Officer of Buttala, the Secretary of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society, along with other distinguished guests, partners, volunteers and well-wishers.
This programme represents more than the donation of prosthetic limbs, it is a step towards restoring mobility, independence, dignity, and renewed hope for individuals in need. By empowering beneficiaries to regain confidence in their daily lives, we continue to uphold the humanitarian mission of the Red Cross.
