A peace initiative took place today in Foya district to end a land dispute between the countries of Sierra Leone and Guinea.

A small town called Yenga has been undergoing a long time land dispute, which has hindered residents, and commerce in the neighboring towns and villages.

Chiefs and elders of those towns were welcome in Foya Diastrict by elders and traditional chiefs to have a dialogue in resolving the crisis peacefully once and for all.

According to information gathered, the meeting was fruitful, which may bring about reconciliation between the two countries, thus promoting growth and development.
