PRESS RELEASE: 020‘25

August 20, 2025

THE OFFICE OF HON JERRY K YOGBOH CONDEMNS MEDIA PUBLICATION FROM ANYONYMOUS INDIVIDUALS UNDER THE BANNER “CONCERNED CITIZENS OF DISTRICT #12”-RENDERS THE ASSERTIONS THAT HON. YOGBOH HAS ABANDONED THE DISTRICT AS FALSE AND POLITICALLY MOTIVATED

The Office of District #12 Representative, Hon. Jerry K. Yogboh is seriously drawn to a fake story, attributed to a group of anonymous individuals under the banner: "Concerned Citizens of District #12," which accuses the lawmaker of abandonment and deception in the district. The Office strongly condemns such media publication and sees it as a fake propaganda intended to undermine the workings of the lawmaker in the district.

The assertion that Hon. Yogboh is disconnected from citizens of the district is intellectually false and politically motivated. The publication is part of actions from certain unscrupulous individuals and certain political oppositions who are bent on maligning the c haracter and disparaging the gains made by the lawmaker. The content of the publication is embedded with calculated distortion of facts, one that seeks to erode the foundations of representative democracy; mislead the general public; and flagrantly disregard the fundamental elements of factual and balanced story.

Moreover, the publication is entirely devoid of empirical evidence, contextual references, or substantiated information to validate the sweeping allegations of “consistent poor leadership,” “abandonment,” or “deception" on the part of Hon. Yogboh. Authentic story necessitate more than inflammatory rhetorics—it demands accuracy, accountability, and the transparent sourcing of information. Where are the names of these so-called “Concerned Citizens”? Where is the source data for the story? Where are the documented interviews with legitimate community leaders, elders, youths, women, and other citizens of the district that informed the publication? Where is the base survey report for this assertion?

It is gravely unfortunate that rather than engaging in rigorous reporting, the authors of this piece resorted to anonymous generalizations, masquermading with public sentiments —conveniently omitting the extensive, verifiable and tangible developmental efforts of Hon. Yogbohpp. The reality

The Office of Hon. Yogboh wants to make it unequivocally clear that contrary to the anonymous "Concerned Citizens of District #12"," quoted in the media, Hon. Yogboh is adequately representing the citizens of District #12 at the 55th Legislature and is in regular touch with citizens of the district. As part of his shared leadership style, Hon. Yogboh established the District Leadership Council (DLC), comprising of all community leaders and stakeholders who helmets with monthly to discuss the growth and development of the district. The lawmaker regularly holds constituents' engagements in communities and with stakeholder groups in the district.

The Office wishes to provide some authentic information regarding Hon. Yogboh's practical interventions that are impacting the lives of the citizens of District #12.

Education: In the educational sector, over 300 students from District #12 are currently benefiting from Hon. Yogboh's scholarship and financial aids scheme at grade, vocational, and college levels, a fact that this publication failed to verify from the office.

Healthcare: The Representative has consistently collaborated with local health institutions to facilitate free medical outreach programs, annually delivering vital care to thousands of constituents. In partnership with three clinics, Hon. Yogboh is providing medical treatment for struggling citizens. He also makes interventions for others who have bigger medical challenges.

Infrastructure: From the ongoing construction of the Swagger Island Community Market to the rehabilitation of homes for vulnerable residents; the introduction of the Amended Monrovia Industrial Park (MIP) Act, which will grant land ownership to citizens of Chicken Soup Factory Community; the er****on of a state-of-the-art Multi-Purpose Town Hall currently ongoing in Beyan Kesselly Boulevard Community, the construction of bridge in Chicken Soup Factory, are tangible, transformative initiatives being undertaken by Hon. Yogboh. How does a lawmaker who abandoned the citizens undertake these mammoth projects and programs?

Additionally, in 2024, Hon. Yogboh rehabilitated the Karduma, Chicken Soup Factory, Kesselly Boulevard, and Shoe's Factory Community roads. He used his legislative function of representation to make consistent engagements with the Ministry of Public Works for the pavement of Chicken Soup Factory Community Road. Assessment works have been done for high-scale rehabilitation of the major community roads in the district during the dry season.

Sanitation & Electricity:
Hon. Yogboh has made donations of sanitation materials and funds for different sanitation works in different communities within the district. Through his legislative function, Hon. Yogboh is proactive in working with community leaders to ensure electricity issues, involving as transformers and breakers are solved to restore electricity to affected communities.

Public Safety & Youth Empowerment: Hon. Yogboh has actively supported community policing activities through Zone 4 Police Depot in the district. He has worked alongside security partners to ensure law and order, especially in high-risk areas, and has helped establish effective Community Watch Teams to enhance public safety. The lawmaker is also supportive of community and youthful programs in sports and other recreational activities. He has contributed and attended several community sports events in the district.

It is highly disappointing that the media could publish and disseminate such fictitious story against Hon. Yogboh from anonymous individuals without contacting the office of the lawmaker. The deliberate action of ignoring Hon. Yogboh's working in the district is a profound disservice to the very district citizens the writers purport to represent. Contrary to claims that Hon. Yogboh has abandoned District #12, he remains one of the few legislators who has continuously engaged his constituency through open floras, town hall meetings, and public dialogues—platforms designed to foster civic participation and enhance government accountability and get citizens feedbacks and suggestions on governance performance.

Henceforth, the Office of Hon. Yogboh remains open and accessible to all, especially citizens of District #12 and the media community, to fact-check information before publication. We urge media institutions to avoid publishing fake information and propagandistic narratives regarding the workings of Hon. Yogboh without visiting the district and the lawmaker's office to solicit accurate, evidence-based information before publication.

THE OFFICE OF HON. JERRY K. YOGBOH CONGRATULATES DISTRICT #12 TEAM FOLLOWING AN EMPHATIC VICTORY OVER DISTRICT 4

The Office of Montserrado County District #12 Representative, Hon. Jerry K. Yogboh congratulates the District #12 Football Team following the team's emphatic victory over District # 4 Football Team in the ongoing 2025 District League for Montserrado County. The Office sees the team's 5-1 victory as not only a proud moment, but it demonstrates the commitment of the Steering and Technical Committees, the coaching staff and the players.

The Office notes that prior to today's match, Hon. Yogboh contributed One Hundred and Ten Thousand Liberian Dollars (L$110,000.00) in sporting materials for the team, including four (4) sets of jerseys, Five (5) Footballs, One (1) set of practice bib, captain band and printing expenses. These materials hugely contributed to the team's preparations for the League.

The Office of Hon. Yogboh appreciates citizens of the district who made contributions to the team and urged all citizens of District #12 to follow their example. Though Hon. Yogboh single-handedly sponsored the district's team in the 2024 Edition of the District League with the expenditure of over Six Thousand United States Dollars (US$6,000.00) on Player's Perdim, Feeding, Transportation and Purchase of booths, jerseys, footballs, and other sporting materials, we will appreciate the contributions and support from other citizens of the district for the ongoing 2025 Edition of the District League. We strongly warn against the politicization of support to the district's team and believe that the collective contributions of all will help in building a unified and reconciled district.

The Office joyfully relieshes the victory of the district’s team on the field following the huge success achieved on the floor of the Plenary of the House of Representatives on Friday with the passage of the Amended MIP Act of 2025 into law and sent to the Liberian Senate for concurrence. Hence, we express commitment to supporting the district team, and will remain engaged with the team regarding further contributions as the league progresses. .
