Fellow Liberians at home and abroad, our international partners, and distinguished visitors:

I am deeply concerned by the decision reportedly made by the Inspector General of the Liberia National Police to order the arrest of a protest leader.

This development has raised serious public questions and concerns regarding the administration of justice and the protection of constitutional rights.

According to reports and claims circulating in the public domain, the protest leader allegedly seized a firearm from an individual believed to be a Liberian security operative who was reportedly mingling with protesters while posing as a participant. If these allegations are accurate, they warrant a thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation.

Many Liberians may reasonably ask why the immediate focus appears to be on arresting the protest leader rather than first establishing the facts surrounding the alleged presence of an armed security operative among demonstrators without clearly identifying himself. Such allegations, if substantiated, could have significant implications for public confidence in our security institutions and raise important questions about transparency, accountability, and the management of peaceful public assemblies.

As a nation governed by the rule of law, justice must be fair, impartial, and applied equally to all. Any investigation should follow the evidence wherever it leads, and any legal action should be based on verified facts, due process, and respect for the constitutional rights of every Liberian.

I therefore call upon the Liberia National Police and all relevant state institutions to provide the public with a clear account of the events, conduct an independent and credible investigation into all allegations, and ensure that justice is neither selective nor influenced by political considerations.
Liberia's democracy is strengthened not by the suppression of dissent, but by the consistent application of the rule of law, transparency, and accountability. We must protect the rights of citizens to assemble peacefully while also ensuring that our security institutions operate professionally and within the bounds of the law.

May God continue to bless the Republic of Liberia.

🇱🇷 Powerful Prayer for Liberia

Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Lord, we lift up the nation of Liberia into Your hands. You are the God of all nations, and we declare that Liberia belongs to You. Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this land as it is in heaven.

Father, we repent on behalf of our nation—for every sin, every injustice, every corruption, and every turning away from Your truth. Have mercy upon Liberia, O God. Wash this land with the blood of Jesus and make us whole again.
Lord, arise and heal our land.
Bring peace where there is division,
Restore hope where there is despair,
Release provision where there is lack,
And establish righteousness in every corner of this nation.

We pray for our leaders—give them wisdom, integrity, and the fear of the Lord. Let them lead with justice and humility. Remove every spirit of greed and oppression, and raise up leaders who will serve the people with truth.

Father, let revival break out across Liberia!
From Monrovia to every county, let Your fire fall.
Let churches be awakened,
Let the youth be transformed,
Let families be restored,
And let the name of Jesus be lifted high above every other name.

We bind every force of darkness working against this nation and declare freedom, healing, and divine restoration. Let Your light shine in Liberia, and let Your glory be seen by all.
Lord Jesus, take Your rightful place in this nation.

Be exalted in our government, our schools, our homes, and our hearts.
We declare: Liberia is for Jesus!
Liberia shall rise again in righteousness, peace, and prosperity.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray,
Amen.

Heavenly Father, Sovereign Lord and Righteous Judge,

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, lifting up the cause of economic justice for suffering Liberians. You are the defender of the poor and the One who establishes righteousness in the earth. Your Word declares, “He shall judge the poor of the people… He shall save the children of the needy and break in pieces the oppressor” (Psalm 72:4).

Lord, arise and contend with every force that stands against truth, justice, and equity. As it is written, “Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me” (Psalm 35:1). Let every plan that promotes exploitation, corruption, and division be brought to nothing.

Father, frustrate every evil counsel and scatter every agenda that is not of You. Your Word says, “Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing… for God is with us” (Isaiah 8:10). Let systems of injustice collapse and let righteousness be established in the land.

Lord, expose every hidden work of darkness. “For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed” (Luke 12:2). Bring truth into the light, and let accountability prevail in every sector of leadership and influence.

We ask that You defend Your people, for “The Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and justice for the poor” (Psalm 140:12). Let no weapon formed against this righteous cause prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we pray not only for victory over injustice, but for the transformation of hearts. Your Word says, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord… He turns it wherever He wishes” (Proverbs 21:1). Turn the hearts of citizens, leaders, and all who oppose this cause. Replace selfishness with compassion, greed with integrity, and division with unity.

Lord, remove deception and bring conviction, for “Righteousness exalts a nation” (Proverbs 14:34). Let those who have stood in opposition come into alignment with truth and justice.

We declare that justice will rise in Liberia like a mighty river, according to Your Word: “Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream” (Amos 5:24).

Strengthen all যারা stand for what is right. “Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God goes with you” (Deuteronomy 31:6). Let Your grace, favor, and divine backing rest upon them.
Father, we trust You to fight this battle in righteousness and truth.

May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in the restoration of the nation.
In Jesus’ mighty and powerful name we pray,
Amen.
