A Strong Rescue Suppoter, Godpower Diggs, writes with a heavy heart:
They say loyalty is tested in difficult times. I believed that. During the 2023 campaign, my place, “GPD-1” was not just a business; it was a home for the Unity Party. Day and night, my maid and I served, hosted, and sacrificed. Meetings, celebrations, strategy sessions; all happened under my roof, often at no cost, because I believed in the cause and in the people.
Today, that same loyalty has left me broken!! I mean B R O K E N!!!
My landlord, another top Rescue leader has betrayed our agreement, and I am now struggling through courtrooms in search of justice. In my desperation, I reached out to those I once stood with, those I fed, those I sheltered, but silence is all I received.
The pain of abandonment cuts deeper than the problem itself. It is a lonely place, realizing that the people you gave your all to can so easily turn away.
If anything happens to me under this weight of disappointment, I ask only one thing: let those who ignored my cries not pretend to care when it is too late.
May God help us all to remember those who stood by us, especially when they need us most.
