LIBERTY PARTY WOMEN IN THE UNITED STATES
Official Statement of Condemnation
Date:October 14, 2025
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Liberty Party Women in the United States strongly condemn the recent and malicious defamation of character directed toward our esteemed political leader, the President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate, Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence. Such acts of slander and misinformation are not only unjustified but are also detrimental to the integrity of Liberia’s democratic process and the moral fabric of our political discourse.
The Liberty Party is founded upon principles of integrity, respect, and constructive engagement. We categorically reject any attempt—whether by individuals, groups, or media entities—to tarnish the reputation of our Party or any of its members through falsehoods, character assassination, or defamatory commentary. Political competition must never devolve into personal attacks or unfounded allegations.
We hereby issue a formal warning that any individual or entity, regardless of jurisdiction, engaging in the deliberate defamation of Senator Nyonblee Karnga Lawrence or any member of the Liberty Party will be subject to immediate legal action under both Liberian and international defamation laws. We are fully prepared to pursue all available legal remedies, including but not limited to civil and criminal proceedings, to protect the dignity and reputation of our leaders and our institution.
Freedom of speech is a right—but it comes with responsibility. That right must not be abused to spread lies, incite division, or undermine public trust in our nation’s leadership.
At the same time, we extend an open invitation for dialogue to all Liberians, at home and abroad, who desire to know the truth and seek clarity. We believe that open conversation fosters understanding, strengthens democracy, and builds harmony. We encourage every citizen to engage constructively and to seek insight into the functions, duties, and responsibilities of the Office of the President Pro Tempore of the Liberian Senate, so that facts—not rumors—guide public opinion.
We stand firmly with our leader, Senator Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, and reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the values of honesty, accountability, and lawful conduct in public life.
Signed,
The Leadership of the Liberty Party Women in the United States
Whitehall Pennsylvania, United States of America
