Press Statement for Immediate Release
The Student Reformation Party congratulates Veteran Reformist Cornelia Wonkerleh Kruah on her historic and well-deserved nomination as Minister of Youth and Sports. This moment is not ceremonial it is revolutionary.
It is the reward of perseverance, ideological clarity, and disciplined service.
You walked the hard road of reform when it was dangerous to be principled and costly to be consistent.Today, history confirms what the struggle already knew; discipline in leadership outlives noise, trends, and convenience.
As Kwame Nkrumah reminded us, “Revolutions are brought about by disciplined men and women with disciplined minds.” You embody this truth.
You had got this position not as a symbol of conformity, but as proof that authenticity, courage, and structure can coexist and win.
To the youth of Liberia, your leadership declares what Thomas Sankara taught the world:
“You cannot carry out fundamental change without a certain amount of madness.” The piercings, tattoos, swimsuits, and bold expressions will make sense not as rebellion without direction, but as freedom anchored in discipline.
An ARMY of young people will rise balanced, self-aware, skilled, and unapologetically impactful knowing they can enjoy life and still build legacy.
As Nelson Mandela said, “Freedom is not the absence of discipline, but the ability to govern oneself.” Under your leadership, young people will learn that their physical appearance must never silence their inner blaze; that their identity is not their limitation; that character is louder than costume. You stand in the space where God positions reformers those who change systems without losing soul.
From Angie Brooks International Centre to the Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, from African Leadership Academy to Louis Arthur Grimes School of Law, you have proven what Julius Nyerere believed: “Discipline is the foundation of freedom and development.” You never leave a space the same and this ministry will be no exception.
May your tenure usher in a culture where discipline fuels creativity, where structure strengthens freedom, and where leadership is intentional, fearless, and people-centered. May your voice remain firm, your humility intact, and your resolve immovable.
History has called and once again, you answered.
Congratulations, Honorable Minister.
