District 9, Nimba County

District 9, Nimba County District 9 is one of 9 electoral districts in Nimba. It is the largest by land size and the poorest in terms of infrastructure and social services.

It has 5 administrative districts - Mehnsonnoh, Zahnla, Blinlon, Doe, and Gbi & Doru and the major needs are roads, health, education, infrastructure, and social impact and empowerment programs. Our goal is to change that. We envision a future where the people of District 9 experience A
BETTER LIFE through quality education, quality healthcare, adequate infrastructure, and real investments in agriculture and empowerment programs.

Rep. Wongbe Delivers Massive Infrastructure Boost to Nimba's District 9 with Over $25,000 in Construction Materials

After months of determined advocacy and engagements, Hon. Taa Z. Wongbe, Representative of District 9, Nimba County, has successfully secured over USD 25,000 (LRD 4.5 million) worth of critical construction materials that will be delivered to the district. This massive injection of resources is set to dramatically accelerate the district's ongoing infrastructure development agenda.

The comprehensive consignment includes over 1,000 bags of cement, 500 steel rods, over 50 bundles of high-quality zinc, along with paint, tiles, PVC pipes, and many more. These materials will be immediately deployed to support the urgent construction and rehabilitation of schools, clinics, market structures, and essential community buildings across District 9.

“This is more than just a delivery; it’s a promise fulfilled for the future of our district,” said Hon. Wongbe. “We’re ramping up our infrastructure drive this dry season, with six major projects nearing completion and road work set to begin in December. Our focus has always been ‘impact over politics’, and this is a clear example of that commitment in action.”

This initiative is a cornerstone of the District 9 “A Better Life” agenda, a broad strategy focused on transformative improvements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, empowerment, leadership, and agriculture. Rep. Wongbe emphasized that a commitment to accountability is paramount. All materials will be distributed transparently and equitably through the established District Development Team to ensure the widest and most impactful reach.
