Samuka Town Residents Demand Urgent Road Rehabilitation After Years of Neglect…

Residents of Samuka Town in Montserrado County Electoral District #11 are renewing calls for the urgent rehabilitation of their main road, citing years of neglect and deteriorating conditions that continue to affect daily life and economic activities.

The road, which serves as a vital access route for the community, has reportedly been in poor condition for more than five years. Large potholes, poor drainage, and persistent flooding have made transportation increasingly difficult, particularly during the rainy season.

According to residents, vehicles frequently struggle to navigate the road, leaving many commuters with no choice but to walk long distances through muddy and unsafe conditions. Chairman Edward P. Smith of Sorbate Hill Community described the situation as critical, emphasizing that the road's condition creates significant hardships for residents, especially women, the elderly, and drivers.

Community members are appealing to District #11 Representative Richard Nagbe Koon, the Ministry of Public Works, and President Joseph Nyuma Boakai to intervene and ensure the road is rehabilitated. They believe that improving the road network would enhance mobility, boost local economic activities, and improve safety for residents.

Liberia is not just struggling, Liberia is being pushed to the breaking point.

Every day under the Boakai-Koung leadership, life gets harder for ordinary people. Poverty is rising fast, and it’s no longer statistics it’s the reality in our homes, in our communities, in the faces of our people.

Transportation fares keep climbing with no relief in sight. A simple ride now feels like a burden. Fuel prices are going up again and again, and when fuel goes up, everything goes up. Food, goods, survival itself it’s all becoming too expensive for the average Liberian.

And electricity? Still unstable. Still unreliable. Businesses are collapsing. Students can’t study. Families sit in darkness while promises remain unfulfilled.

This is not leadership. This is neglect.

The Liberian people are suffering and they are tired of being told to wait while things get worse.

They promised to rescue Liberia. But what we are living through today is nothing short of a crushing betrayal of trust and a complete abandonment of responsibility.

This is the opposite of rescue. This is failure, plain and simple.

2029 is coming, and it will be a defining moment.

Liberia is trouble under scoundrel Boakai Joe.
