๐ ๐ข๐ก๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ โ ๐ high-level Liberian legislative delegation, led by Senate Pro-Tempore Nyonblee Karnga-Lawrence, departed the country on Monday, June 15, to represent Liberia at the prestigious Fourth Edition of the Marrakesh Parliamentary Economic Forum in the Kingdom of Morocco.
The summit, scheduled to take place from June 19โ20, 2026, will focus heavily on regional economic integration. Senator Karnga-Lawrence is accompanied by Senators Abraham Darius Dillon, Francis Dopoh II, and Nya Twaney Jr.
This yearโs forum centers on the pivotal theme: "AfCFTA and the Connectivity of Euro-African Value Chains: Towards an Integrated Space of Co-production, Investment and Economic Resilience."
Legislators and economic experts at the summit are slated to tackle a shared agenda between the Euro-Mediterranean and African regions. Due to their geographic proximity, growing logistical links, and vast energy potential, both regions share a mutual interest in securing strategic supply chains and fostering long-term economic resilience.
The discussions aim to uncover strategic mechanisms to strengthen regional sovereignty: Protect local economies by building more self-reliant, intra-regional trade frameworks.
Boost Co-Industrialization: Drive joint investments that spur job creation and accelerate technology transfers across borders.
The host nation Morocco is positioned as the primary gateway for these discussions. Capitalizing on its strategic geographic location, advanced logistics infrastructure, and deep African diplomatic ties, the Kingdom aims to serve as the ultimate platform bridging European investment with African economic potential.
