Meet Steve W Collins, a Liberian youth leader, student advocate, and social change activist.
He currently serves as Presidential Press Secretary of the Liberia National Students Union (LNSU), where he helps amplify student voices and promote transparency within Liberia’s higher education sector.
Steve is the Founder and Executive Director of the Youth Action for Transformation Network (YATN), a youth-led organization focused on climate change, civic engagement, youth empowerment, and social advocacy.
His work has earned national and international recognition, including Child Rights Activist of the Year (2021), Emerging Climate Justice Activist of the Year (2021), and Millennium Fellow (Class of 2023). He has represented Liberia on global platforms such as COP27 in 2022, Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt
He attended the Nasser Fellowship in Cairo, Egypt (2023), participated in the Eurasia Global International Leadership Program in Russia 🇷🇺 (2024), and in 2025 took part in the Social Innovation Leadership Bootcamp in Nigeria 🇳🇬.
Steve aspires to continue empowering young people, amplifying marginalized voices, and advancing social justice and sustainable development in Liberia and beyond.
