Everything I am with my father Hon. Eric Giko, he always tells me this:

He said, son, I have come a long way, and I will never stop pursuing a development agenda for the people of Maryland County and Liberia at large.

My fellow Marylanders, we are here because of you,. We are not surprised by what the opposition says about our efforts to bring relief and progress to our people.

When we brought electricity, they complained.
When we helped improve roads, they complained.
When we supported youth education, they complained.
When we donated to schools, they complained.
When we improved sanitation facilities, they complained.
When we empowered young people, they complained.
When we assisted struggling families, they complained.
When we stood with our communities in difficult times, they complained.

Even when we acknowledged and complimented Senator Gbleh-bo Brown for his work, they complained.

But development speaks louder than criticism. Results speak louder than politics. The people can see who is working and who is only talking.

Our mission is not to fight individuals; our mission is to serve the people. We remain committed to education, healthcare, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and economic opportunities for every citizen of Maryland County and Liberia 🇱🇷 at large.

Let them talk. They cannot defeat progress. They cannot stop a people determined to move forward. They cannot silence the voices of citizens who desire meaningful change.

Maryland will rise again. The people deserve better, and together we will move forward with unity, determination, and purpose.

The future belongs to those who work for it. Our journey continues, our commitment remains strong, and our vision for Maryland County remains clear.

Enough is enough. The time for progress is now.”

Mr. Eric Giko Pays Students’ Tuition at Teachers Training College In Maryland

Mr. Eric Wlea Giko, has paid the sum of L$140,000 to the administration of the LICOSESS Teachers Training College in Maryland County as financial support for 20 students under his financial aid program at the institution.

On behalf of Mr. Eric Giko, the Chairman of the Friends of Eric Giko, Chairman Alex Bia Davis, made the presentation to the registrar’s office. Mr. Davis stated that the Maryland chapter of the Friends of Eric Giko had decided to complete the final tuition payments for students benefiting from the Giko Financial Aid Program.

He made the statement on May 16, 2026, when he handed over the deposit slip to the administration, indicating full payment of the students’ requirements on the school’s main campus in Pleebo City, Maryland County.

Moreover, the chairman added that two months ago, Mr. Giko also paid the requirements for students at William V.S. Tubman University who are benefiting from Team Giko’s financial aid program.

He disclosed that the financial records of 40 students under Mr. Giko’s assistance program had been successfully handled.

Meanwhile, Chairman Alex Bia Davis said that despite Mr. Eric Wlea Giko’s participation in three different elections, where he was defeated, he has remained committed to supporting citizens through skilled and non-skilled opportunities, including higher education, both within and outside Maryland County.

However, the Chairman for Academic Affairs of the Friends of Eric Giko, Mr. Samuel Hinneh, used the occasion to appeal to benefiting students to remember Mr. Giko as a way of reciprocating his countless contributions to Maryland County.

Nevertheless, the Acting County Coordinator of LICOSESS Teachers Training College, Mr. Richard S. Teah, stated during a retreat program in Harper City, Maryland County, that Mr. Eric Wlea Giko and Street Child are highly respected partners supporting students in higher learning institutions who seek better education.

According to Mr. Teah, Street Child is providing fully funded scholarships accompanied by allowances for students attending the Teachers Training College, while Team Giko continues to provide financial support to students.

In addition, the acting LICOSESS County Coordinator asserted that these interventions are bringing relief to many students who have long sought opportunities to further their education but have faced financial difficulties.

Senator Biney go into development competition with an ordinary citizen of Maryland County name Eric W. Giko.
Competition has sparked in Maryland County.
At last, Marylanders will benefit.

After the people of Barriken made a request to Sen. P. James Biney about getting a transformer about 4 years ago, he boldly told them that it was not his responsibility to provide electricity as a senator. A great quest for electricity increased. The good people of Barriken later made the same request to Hon. Eric W. Giko, and in no time, Hon. Giko provided a brand new transformer for the people of Barriken and its surroundings. The information got to Biney, and he had to run to President Boakai crying 😭 for help, telling the president to electrify Gedetarbo, after promising them during the 2023 elections, which is about 4 years ago.

Moral lesson: If Hon. Eric Giko hadn't given Barriken a transformer, Gedetarbo, which hasn't been heard from since, would likely still be waiting.

While Rep. Anthony F. Williams and Austin B. Taylor are building roads at their own expense, an overstayed lawmaker is begging the President to build just 10 km of road in the same County. 😂
