EXTENDING EID-UL-ADHA (ABRAHAM’S DAY) GREETINGS TO THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY

The leadership and members of the CMC Regional-1 Youth League extend warmest greetings and heartfelt congratulations to the entire Muslim Community in Liberia and across the world on the joyous celebration of Eid-ul-Adha, commonly known as Abraham’s Day.

As Muslims around the globe commemorate this sacred occasion in honor of the unwavering faith, obedience, sacrifice, and devotion demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), we join you in celebrating the values of love, humility, peace, unity, and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah.

Eid-ul-Adha serves as a powerful reminder that sacrifice for the greater good, compassion for humanity, and commitment to righteousness remain essential pillars for building a peaceful and progressive society. This holy day further encourages all citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic background, to embrace togetherness, forgiveness, mutual respect, and national harmony.

The CMC Regional-1 Youth League highly appreciates the countless contributions of the Muslim Community toward the peace, stability, development, and social transformation of Liberia. Your continuous prayers, moral teachings, and commitment to community building continue to inspire hope and strengthen our nation’s democratic and social fabric.

As we celebrate this meaningful day, we encourage all young people and citizens to reflect on the true significance of sacrifice, kindness, and service to humanity. Let us use this occasion to renew our collective commitment toward peaceful coexistence, youth empowerment, community development, and national unity.

We also call on all Liberians to continue promoting religious tolerance and peaceful collaboration among all faiths, as unity remains the foundation for sustainable progress and development in our beloved country.

To our Muslim brothers and sisters, may this Eid bring abundant blessings, happiness, prosperity, good health, and renewed spiritual strength to you and your families. May Almighty Allah accept your prayers, sacrifices, and acts of worship, and continue to shower His endless mercy upon our nation and the world at large.

Once again, the CMC Regional-1 Youth League wishes the entire Muslim Ummah a peaceful, joyous, and blessed Eid-ul-Adha celebration.

Excellent piece coming from the The Saharaa on the decorated DICTATOR Josiah Joekai.

The Dictator's Dance: Josiah Joekai Is Holding Civil Servants to a Standard He Openly Refuses to Meet

OPINION

By Staff Reporter

Josiah F. Joekai, Jr. has spent his time as Director-General of the Civil Service Agency building a reputation as Liberia's toughest enforcer of public sector discipline. He recently mandated Non-Disclosure Agreements across the civil service — forcing workers to sign away their right to speak about government business — and threatened that anyone who refused would be blocked from the payroll and dismissed. He has purged government rolls and lectured the public sector on professionalism.

Fine. But here is the problem with that posture: it only works if the person saying it is actually following the rules. And Joekai is not. He was recently caught on live camera dancing at the official unveiling of the National Independent Movement for Boakai headquarters — a partisan political event. That footage is not a minor embarrassment. It is evidence of a direct violation of the law he is supposed to be the chief guardian of. And it raises a straightforward question: if a low-level civil servant can lose their job for political alignment, what happens to the Director-General who publicly breaks the political neutrality rules that sit at the very core of his office?

The Civil Service Agency was established by the Civil Service Act of 1973. Section 66.1 of that Act says the CSA "shall be independent of all other Ministries and Agencies of Government." That's the law. Not a guideline. Not a recommendation. The law.
That independence is the whole point of the CSA's existence. It is what gives the Agency's decisions on hiring, firing, and discipline any legitimacy at all. The moment the head of that Agency shows up at a partisan political event and dances on camera, that independence is gone — and with it, the credibility of every enforcement action taken seized.

OFFICIAL PRESS STATEMENT
Office of the Regional-1 Youth League Vice Chair for Press & Propaganda
Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) – Republic of Liberia

The Citizens Movement for Change (CMC) has taken note of the recent remarks made by Representative Hon. Moima Briggs Mensah during proceedings on the Floor of the Honorable House of Representatives.

As a highly disciplined and ideologically grounded political institution, the CMC remains committed to promoting constructive national dialogue, democratic civility, and transformational leadership within Liberia’s political landscape. Unlike conventional political establishments, our movement approaches matters of national concern with political maturity, institutional discipline, and principled responsibility.

The CMC equally maintains a longstanding commitment to the protection, empowerment, and advancement of women in leadership. We firmly believe that meaningful national development can only be achieved through the elevation and inclusion of competent women within governance and public service.

In view of this, the statement made by Hon. Moima Briggs Mensah is regarded not as an act warranting hostility, but rather as an emotionally driven expression influenced by the intensity of parliamentary engagement. Consequently, the CMC chooses the path of political tolerance, mentorship, and constructive guidance over condemnation.

We therefore encourage the Honorable Representative to continue strengthening her leadership capacity through diplomacy, restraint, and responsible public engagement, consistent with the standards expected of national leaders.

Furthermore, the CMC remains unwavering in its confidence in the leadership, statesmanship, and diplomatic competence of Hon. Musa Hassan Bility, whose preparedness and vision for national transformation continue to inspire confidence among Liberians.

The Citizens Movement for Change shall remain steadfast in its pursuit of democratic integrity, institutional discipline, women empowerment, and national transformation.
