It is both ironic and disappointing that some members of SLP are now attempting to accuse SUP of insulting instructors. Before making such reckless accusations, they should first examine their own history and conduct on this campus.

Let us begin with a simple but important question: Who is officially on record for insulting the Senior Registrar in his own office and even attempting to fight him? Is that not the same individual who today serves as the current SLP president, Hon T. Emmanuel Nuwahn? If SLP truly wants to talk about respect for university authorities, then they must first explain that incident to the student community.

Furthermore, during the period of the “go-slow” on campus, who were the individuals working behind the scenes to create division and confusion between the Faculty Association (FA) and the university administration? Instead of promoting peace, dialogue, and responsible student leadership, certain figures within SLP were busy fueling misunderstanding and tension that threatened the stability of the university.

Let us also remind the campus community about the irresponsible statement made by the current chairman of SLP Emmanuel Nenwon, who publicly alleged that there were “evil elements” in the Admissions Office who wanted the Dean removed. Such a serious accusation should never be made without evidence.

Since that statement was made, we have consistently demanded that he name those individuals so that the truth could be investigated openly and fairly. Up to today, no names have been provided.

This is exactly the kind of irresponsible politics that undermines student unity and damages the credibility of student leadership on campus.

SUP believes in responsible leadership, transparency, and defending the dignity of the student body. We will not sit quietly while individuals who have their own questionable records attempt to lecture others about respect and discipline.
The students of this university are not blind, and they are not forgetful. They know who stood for peace and progress, and they know who repeatedly chose confusion, insults, and unnecessary confrontation.

Before pointing fingers at SUP, SLP should first clean its own house.
If SLP wishes to position itself as a moral authority, it must first demonstrate accountability, honesty, and respect for the truth. The student community cannot be misled

‎The Vanguard Students Unification Party (VSUP), Nimba University Chapter, Sanniquellie City, Nimba County — Chairman Emmanuel Aken Gban has made his first strategic appointments following the party’s Congress held last Sunday, ahead of the highly anticipated student elections scheduled for March 26, 2026.

‎The appointments affect key structures within the party, including the Central Committee and the Campaign Team, and take immediate effect.

The Vanguard Students Unification (SUP) is calling on all students who truly care about the welfare of the masses.
