To: All Students Without External Internship Placement

Subject: Assignment to On-Campus Internship (Campus Botanical Inventory Project)
This memo serves to officially assign all students who have not yet secured an external internship to an On-Campus placement.
[Internship Overview]
The department has established a mandatory On-Campus Internship, focused on conducting a complete inventory of flora species across the Forestry Training Institute Campus. This initiative is designed to provide practical experience in botanical identification, data logging and environmental management.
[Internship Responsibility]
During this placement, your primary duties will include:
• Identification: Correctly identifying common and scientific names of all campus flora.
• Data Collection: Recording physical characteristics including plant height, plant health, width, flowering cycles and hardiness, and medicine values.
• Mapping: Cataloging the specific locations of species within the layout.
• Reporting: Compiling a final inventory report that summarizes findings and provides recommendation for campus landscape management.
[Next Steps]
1. Reporting Date: Please report to the department head on May 15, 2026 at 10:00 am.
2. Supervision: You will be under the direct supervision of instructor, Alexander Saye, who will provide the necessary field guides.
3. Requirements: Please ensure your dressed in an appropriate field gear(s) as this internship involves extensive outdoor activity.
Note: Successful completion of this inventory is required to fulfill your internship credits for this academic term.
