The U.S got invaded by little aliens! (Swipe until the end to catch the intruders 👀)

Until you can find them, LSA will continue its mission at the 41st Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, along with 17 companies from Luxembourg ecosystem.

The Space Symposium is the premier annual conference for the global space industry, bringing together over 12,000 attendees from military, government, and commercial sectors to discuss space policy, technology, and business.

During the mission, Luxembourg’s Minister of the Economy, , met with long standing national companies such as and Eurocomposites but also with newer players namely , to discuss their upcoming plans to establish a European headquarters in .

Further meetings with the U.S. State Department were held to discuss the EU Space Act and potential future collaborations with 🚀

Luxembourg is actively contributing to the new era of space exploration with a focus on Space resources with the SpaceResources.lu initiative. This initiative aims to promote peaceful exploration and a sustainable development approach to the use of space resources. In that framework, business and public research devote R&D resources to tackling the issues of sustainability, circularity, and resource management, while ensuring the economic viability of the activities being developed.

Luxembourg is also engaged, at the international level and especially at the UN, in order to create a respectful international framework and develop these new space activities for the benefit of humankind as a whole.

“My work often features humanized animals as protagonists, inviting viewers to reflect on environmental and cultural narratives. Through these depictions, I aim to highlight biodiversity and the interconnectedness of life. I see the mouse as a symbol of intelligence and its similarity to humans made it particularly fitting for this project.”

Alain Welter is a Luxembourg street artist. After studying illustration in Berlin, he returned home to bring colour to public spaces — from walls, fences and bridges to facades and offices. With his humorous and ironic style, he expresses ideas in a simple way. He also illustrates magazine covers and presents his art in solo exhibitions across galleries.

How does this artwork relate to space activities?

Luxembourg actively engages in collaboration with public and private entities around the world, committed to strengthening international dialogue and fostering the advancement of exploration, commercialization, and sustainable progress in the space sector. A full member of the European Space Agency since 2005, the country also contributes to and supports United Nations activities relating to space matters, especially regarding the SpaceResources.lu initiative.

“For me, collaboration means finding the right partners to share and develop common ideas and enhance them together. I’m passionate about flags – symbols of national identity – and I find that the dynamic form of a waving flag offered the perfect medium to incorporate my personal shapes into my artwork.”

Since the mid-1990s, Spike has steadily expanded his practice. Starting with traditional graffiti lettering, he seized the opportunity at the dawn of the new millennium to explore new territories and experiment in a new direction. He reduced his letters to their basic skeleton. Despite these changes, Spike stays true to his distinct and recognizable shapes. His work often appears in abandoned places marked by time.

A lot of important decisions were made during last week’s ESA Ministerial Council in ! 🤯

Let’s break it down together 👇

ESA Ministerial Council happens every ~3 years, it’s an international event where member States and cooperating countries gather to decide how much they’ll invest in space, and which programmes move forward.( and which ones are will not)

The Grand Duchy, represented by Minister , expressed full support for the ‘s vision structured around five major ambitions:

🌟Protecting the planet,
🌟Fostering exploration,
🌟Reinforcing European autonomy,
🌟Driving growth,
🌟Inspiring Europe.

As such, €265M will be committed to European space sector for the next three years.🙌

➡️ €149.3M will go for ESA programmes, enabling Luxembourg based companies and research organisations to participate in European space projectsc.

➡️ €115.8M will go for LuxIMPULSE to support national research and development initiatives.

This investment strengthens Luxembourg’s continued commitment to the European space sector and ensures a long-term economic value for the country 📈

How does this artwork relate to space activities?

In-orbit services range from final release into orbit to manufacture and assembly in orbit, extension of mission duration, and debris removal. They will play a key role in ensuring sustainable activities in space.

Luxembourg already supports the development of technologies such as rendezvous technologies or a robotic arm and envisages positioning in the supply of services that extend telecommunication missions in geostationary orbit.

Luxembourg also promotes the sustainable use of space resources to support future missions. This approach fosters innovation and responsible space operations.

“I’d like to think that orbital and spatial activity contribute an important asset to research. However, it's crucial to develop sustainable and ethical practices that are not motivated by profit maximisation but seek to create valuable assets to studying and resolving some of humanity's most pressing challenges.”
wagener is a Luxembourgish illustrator and painter. Proved to be a versatile storyteller, she uses figurative imagery and layered meanings to address socio-political matters, identity and mental health. The artist invites viewers to reconsider the connection between individual experience and broader cultural, political and social contexts.
